Let me try and parse that.

“School Resource Officer” means a school security guard.

The little punk tried to pull a weapon on the guard and earned himself a trip in an ambulance.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I remember when my PE coach got in a fist fight with a student in my old high school back in 1971. The student took the brunt of it.

No guns involved. They remained in the gun racks of the pickup trucks in the parking lot. :)

School shootings are becoming a daily event.

Yes, headache racks well stocked in unlocked trucks with the windows rolled down and no school shootings. Libs can’t understand this.

To me, it is the difference between domesticated dogs and coyotes.

We have way too many coyotes running around these days.

“School Resource Officer” means a school security guard

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............NOPE

School Resource Officer are cops or sheriffs from the local jurisdiction, assigned to the school. In larger jurisdictions, the schools actually have their own police.

And, unfortunately the coward in Parkland, Florida was a Broward County Sheriff assigned to the school.

“According to police, a student was armed with a weapon and confronted a school resource officer.

Many assuming gun, but in this day and age, had the student had a gun, I assume it would be leading every story. Fits the narrative far too well for the media not to jump on it.

“A 17-year-old student at Waukesha South High School was shot Monday after police said he pointed a gun at an officer.”

Well well well, I stand corrected. Cannot believe they left this sentence to the last paragraph. I’m sure we will see MSNBC and others changing that to front page soon.

As qaz123 noted, a school resource officer is a police officer. They have powers of arrest. Sometimes they are armed. Sometimes they are not. That decision is up to the school board.

But your confusion is understandable, Buckeye. “School resource officer” is just more doublespeak. Those folks are police officers. But “police” is a dirty word to leftists. So they had to invent some other term.

Lots of time they are actual police assigned to the school. Not security guards.

Waukesha was yesterday. Today’s incident was in Oshkosh. From some later reports, a knife was the weapon the student used today, cutting the cop before the cop shot him.
