Meanwhile, in 20 states where teachers can carry concealed weapons, there have been zero school shootings.

California’s draconian gun-owner control laws are part of the problem.

Just like heroin, guns will magically disappear once they’re banned.

Oh dear - some kid in a state with our country’s strictest gun-control laws, most likely on serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, shot some people. I better surrender some of my Constitutional rights immediately! Take my first and fourth amendment rights away while you’re at it!

It’s for the kids!!!

California seriously restricts gun ownership and still has issues.

Let me predict something, LA Slimes...

You could literally ban guns completely, and there’d still be millions out there.

Law abiding citizens would mostly turn theirs in, and the rest would become criminals in the eye of the state.

Real criminals, the kind that rob, rape and murder, would laugh at your laws, as they do already.

Crime—dangerous crime—would go up.

I even have an example for you—Mexico.

Private ownership of guns is banned there. Yet they have more murders, robberies and rapes than California even going back to the Gold Rush frontier days.

The Cartels would then be in Los Angeles then, murdering innocents while they ruthlessly imposed their will, especially on the police, who you already hate.

It’s not a leap to say that no 16-year-old should have ready access to a firearm The Entertainment Industry, including TV, Movies, NEWS outlets and Newspapers outside the immediate supervision of an adult.

What we really need is Common Sense Licensing and regulation of Pressittutes engaged in "Commercial Speech" for compensation or gain.

No. It’s the children who have been taught that there is no right and wrong, that the values they received from their parents are bull$hit, that religion is irrelevant, that compassion is not necessary.

I’ve had guns and ammo in my bedroom since I was 12 years old.

I would never think of chambering a round in the house. Dad would have kicked my ass. We knew how to handle guns and it never occurred to us to use them against a person.

California again, huh? Not long after that Saugus High School shooting on the 14th. How can this be happening? The pro-gun control Giffords Law Center says California has the best, most stringent gun control laws of any state in the entire country. They're supposed to be a model for us all in preventing these mass shootings.

According to this Washington Post graph, 51% of Americans owned guns in 1978, vs. 36% in 2016, and yet they claim it's "the prevalence of guns" causing mass shootings? Something isn't quite jiving with these pro-gun control arguments we see after each major mass shooting. Why is it kids had easier access to guns in the 1960s, and schools generally had much, much more lax rules about having guns on campus, yet students weren't indiscriminately shooting every classmate they could back then?

Sorry to spoil their crying jag. But, No, it’s mostly the mentally ill and almost entirely Democrats. If we subtract blue/DemocRat areas from the statistics, the gun crime rates in the normal US are as low as anywhere in Europe.

To solve the “Gun” problem, get rid of Democrats or lock up the mentally ill.

Los Angeles Times: It's the guns. It's always the guns (barf alert)

Instead of coming up with ANY intelligent solutions for handling insane people, the left ALWAYS jumps on the same tired "take guns away from everyone", which ain't gonna happen.

I have to laugh at this. Giving places like the Dakotas an F grade and they are among the least violent areas in the United States.

Yep, according to the Giffords Law Center’s own numbers, A-ranked Maryland has the fourth-worst gun crime in the U.S., while F-ranked South Dakota has one of the lowest gun crime rates.

Well thought out, common sense reply.

Even though your comment is fact based and logical, it will not stand up to the libs, as their thinking is emotionally based. Little obstacles like facts are just pushed to the side in favor of the feel good narrative of the day. We cannot compete against that type of thinking.

Guns be one subject. Another pet peeve is racism. The global elitists running the swamp are likely rich White billionaires. They have the rat useful idiots believe just about everything in America is racist, even though such claims are contrary to facts. What these morons do not realize is the racism of the White elitists when they are manipulating people of color.

The global elitists running the swamp are likely rich White billionaires.

And Asian, Muslim, Oriental and Indian elitists, even black elitists running African countries, for example.

And every one of them, their family and enterprises, are guarded by men with guns.

Think about THAT!

Commoners with guns threaten them, and rightly so. Giving up OUR guns makes it easier for their hired guns to kill us, while ensuring we don't storm their Bastilles and bring them down stone by stone.
