Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said she has been “mostly” flying commercial in an effort to combat climate change but said her campaign is trying to look at “other ways” to reduce its carbon footprint.
“What specific steps have you taken in your campaign to ensure that your campaign’s environmental impact is limited as possible?” a listener asked.Host Laura Knoy pointed out that Tom Steyer (D) recently told NHPR that he is only flying commercial, adding, “there’s a huge carbon footprint of a private jet, so that’s the sacrifice he said he was willing to make. How about you?”
“So I’ve mostly been flying commercial,” Warren said, explaining that her campaign has been trying to look at “other ways” to reduce its carbon footprint.
“It’s everything from the kind of car we drive and down to, do we purchase offsets? Can we make that work s a way to try to reduce the footprint,” she said, failing to elaborate if her campaign’s proposals have come to fruition.
“One of the things that has been so interesting to me in the whole area of climate has been the good ideas that have come from lots of different campaigns. One I just want to get a pitch in here for is when Gov. Inslee was running,” she said:
He talked about the importance of regulating three industries– that by 2028 no new buildings, no new houses that have any carbon footprints– zero carbon footprint on new buildings. By 2030, all newly built cars and trucks– zero carbon footprint. And by 2035, all electric production– zero carbon footprint.
“We do those three things, we cut carbon emission in our country by 70 percent. Think about that, three things, 70 percent reduction,” she said.

Fly commercial, don’t fly commercial, it will make exactly ZERO impact on “climate change”.
This “carbon footprint” is a boogie man created to frighten the snowflakes among us, and so far, the pitch has been singularly successful. Carbon in ANY form, be it carbon dioxide, its chemical near relative carbon monoxide, or any of the various hydrocarbons or the carbohydrates that compose so much of the “fixed” carbon in nature, has little capability to capture and hold heat, vastly less than another simple compound, water in all its forms, be it ice, liquid, or water vapor. I have expounded before and often about the unique qualities of the dihydrogen oxide molecule, and no form of carbon in any recombination has anywhere near this capacity to absorb, contain and release heat energy.
The “carbon footprint” is a meaningless and essentially nonsensical term, but it is so handy to throw around in arguments between persons who do not have much sophisticated knowledge about how things REALLY work.
She’s a fraud. You can go online and pay your personal carbon tax.

“Purchase Offsets” are literally equal to:
I’m going to drive down the freeway, throwing lots of garbage out the windows of my car. Then I find someone who isn’t throwing garbage out his/her car. I pay him/her $50.00 so I can take credit for him/her not being a litterbug slob like me.
THAT is exactly what the scam known as “offsets” really is.

Given that these people cannot reasonably define gender, refuse to call terrorists terrorists, demonstrably do not understand the term illegal alien... I highly doubt she is using “mostly” in the same sense as the rest of us would. I’ll bet “mostly” means she did, maybe once.
