Texas may be conservative but hasn’t been GOP for all that many years.

There was a time when Texas Democrats were more conservative than the Republicans.

Cruz barely won against a phony mexican

Greg Abbott won in the same election against a real hispanic 56% to 42%.

There were a lot of reasons the race between Cruz and Bob O'Rourke was close. Cruz has never been particularly popular in Texas. O'Rourke was a rep from El Paso, which is removed from most of the rest of the Texas population by at least 350 miles. Nobody had a clue who he was.

Money funneled in from out of state at an unbelievable amount, 70 million dollars, and don't believe the "small donor" BS. They had people driving around to all registered rats eight months before the election asking if they could put his signs up in their yard for free. Willie Nelson campaigned for him. Nelson is an old con man and crooked as a dog's hind leg but a lot of people in Texas love him.

Trump hurt Cruz badly during the presidential primaries, and O'Rourke's handlers hid his gun-grabbing, liberal craziness and ran on Whataburger, skateboarding and he drives a pickup. Kind of like Ann Richards, who was the last statewide elected Rat in Texas.

Certainly the demographics are a concern, but the Rats put all their eggs in the Beto basket, cause he was gonna be the next Obama. O'Rourke outspent Cruz by over 30 million and lost.

“Are there that many illegals in Texas already?”

YES! I know many Freepers will deny the idea that Texas could go blue in 2020, but it is a real possibility. If not in 2020, then certainly in 2024. Demographics.

Yeah, I am sure Abortion Barbie, aka, failed gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will take TX-21. She isn’t even from around here.

Steven Crowder’s video w/ her at the TX p*say hat march is hilarious/ comedy gold, BTW.

Everyone likes to point to all the immigrants that have grown roots there and that’s probably the biggest contributor to what will happen. It’s not the folks that have come over the border in the last few years. Think about how long they’ve been coming.

But, you also have to take into account that Rick Perry traveled all over the place trying to lure industry down there. He was successful. And when those industries moved down there from high tax states from the North or California, they brought their liberal employees with them. The ones that were able to sell their 3/2 ranch for $400k and then move down there and have a house 2x the size, in a swim/tennis community, and they pay no state income tax.

Toss in in-state tuition for illegal alien kids. As with, pretty much every state in this country, the liberal, densely populated inner cities are what controls the states. If the states, even as an experiment, enacted some type of ‘electoral college’ system that went by district or county, I doubt the ratio of Republicans to Democrats would be close to what it is now, with Republicans enjoying a pretty sizeable lead over their Leftist counterparts.

Rick Perry is to blame for those problems and the fact that Texas will be Blue in the years to come.

Yes. Doesn’t anyone understand one citizen one vote is vital?
Isn’t anyone listening?

We have to get this into the news despite the leftist biased news people and their evil.

Last two elections they tossed in “but no evidence was found of large scale corruption or vote fraud despite GOP accusations.”

2020 is the last election of the nation founded by the Founding Fathers and protected by millions of dead in wars.

This is a serious matter. The years after 2020 will have Putin style “victory” of every leftist running anywhere local or national. Like the 2016 Detroit precincts with 2,901 votes for Hillary and 12 votes for Trump of the total of 1025 peple living there.
