Unlike some others here I AM still holding out hope for the IG report. The OIG does seem to always complete what they say they are doing. We waited for the report on Hillary's emails, and then we got it. It wasn't everything we hoped for, but it wasn't "NOTHING" either.

All the text messages between Strzok and Page came out as a result of that, and McCabe's nefarious behavior was brought to light, which shortly after the report resulted in his firing.

So: I am sure it's coming, even if it's been delayed. And I hope it has some impact.

But yes, I'm as frustrated as everyone else in how slow the response to the Deep State Coup has been, and it is starting to look like nothing will ever happen.

But, I'm not giving up quite yet.

But yeah, the 30 day rule means that Aug 30, 2020 is the endpoint, and lots of things have to be done before then if we are going to be talking about Deep State Coup participants in 2020 and not other made up MSM stories.

I would say if we don't have indictments before the New Hampshire primary in Feb. it's probably effectively too late.

Even legit findings will be tainted with "dropped to influence the election in an election year" -- etc.

Precisely, they don’t think he’ll be reelected so they’ll slow walk everything. Nothing will happen to these people. Barr is in on it.

Oh, my bad. I read the summary paragraph as implying that the September IG report would be close to the “quiet” period. Thanks.

I'm not giving up quite yet.

You'll be with us sometime tomorrow afternoon, after the Mueller Mess is fully understood.

The IG report has been promised ever month for well over a year.

That's what I thought. Wasn't the original release date supposed to be sometime in early spring of '18? I have ceased to believe it will ever happen.

but reports can be amended, so IG Horowitz needs to release his ASAP. <<

IMHO the delay is because the original Howowitz report was a “whitewash” and Barr gave him a chance to redeem himself....

with all the info that is available now Howowitz would have looked like an idiot if it had been released.... (Horowitz got a "do-over" )

Barr is in on it.

From the beginning, I thought barr was just there to clean-up the mess, I never believed he would hold anyone accountable. But the coup is still in progress. So yes, barr must be in on it.

What I know about the technicalities would fit into a thimble, but I’m trusting Tom Fitton and Judicial Watch more to bring this crap out into the sunshine than even Barr or Durham. Because those two are lifers in the Foggy Bottom cliques, and Fitton is not.

So the article kind of lays out why the IG report was delayed.

In May, the President delegated (not abdicated, as the article states), broad declassification authority to the AG. The President has also directed Departments and Agency to provide (pretty much anything and everything) to the AG.

So a lot of stuff that had been held back was made available, and takes time to review. If things come to light, they too must be investigated.

Also, reports have been published that some people who had previously refused to be interviewed, have recently agreed (perhaps not a coincidence). Also reportedly, at least one person has recently agreed to cooperate.

So the job is just not done, until those threads have been followed.

When it is done, there is a period of a few weeks, when folks who are implicated in wrongdoing are allowed to review the parts relevant to them, and submit their comments, before the draft is finalized. Then there are a few weeks where the final draft is briefed and reviewed up the chain of command, before going public. (I assume that review to identify classified or otherwise restricted (e.g. Grand Jury, ongoing investigation) information will have been done ahead of time - if not, that would be another delay).

It has happened before, that late breaking info delayed the IG report. It looks like that has happened this time too.

Each new little straw delays release of the whole thing.

My trust in Barr went slurping down the tubes when he told about the back-and-forth between himself and “my great friend of thirty years, Bob Mueller” re the Report. Barr HAS TO know every scintilla of slime that clings to Mueller from all his hiding exculpatory evidence, railroading innocent people and ruining thousands of lives, a la A. D. Anderson. If he’s still tight with “ol’ Bob” after all that; he’s as big a lowlife as ol’Bob ever was. Spit!

The UniParty is dragging their heals on this one.
Nothing is going to break loose until Trump drops the hammer on a couple key GOP Senators.
Graham and Romney

Only if there is no sense of urgency and they are working bankers hours. Mueller had perjury traps, indictments and guilty pleas in months. Horowitz isn’t even running a criminal investigation. He should be able to move even faster than Mueller did.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Meuller had a strong desire to assault POTUS and his supporters. Horowitz does not have an equally strong desire to preserve the rule of law and pursue criminal Democrats to the benefit of POTUS. Sorry.

So the article kind of lays out why the IG report was delayed.

Any possible crimes found by the IG are supposed to be sent to the DOJ immediately as criminal referrals. They are not supposed to wait for a report to be released.

So where are all those criminal referrals from the IG?

It's not a good sign when the IG has had 16 months to investigate without sending any criminal referrals.

WHY?

“So where are all those criminal referrals from the IG?”

Referrals are not public documents. Revealing them could could alert suspects and compromise ongoing investigations.

“My trust in Barr went slurping down the tubes when he told about the back-and-forth between himself and “my great friend of thirty years, Bob Mueller””

How about the President talking about his great friend, Xi Jin Ping? Or Senators talking about their worst Senate rivals as my good friend? Might be like that.
