This is the first version of "Land of 1,000 Dances," although the roots of the song are said to go back to medieval Germany.

I did notice when I linked to the Cannibal version that the image of the record showed it was written by Chris Kenner. I remember him from "I like it Like that" but had never heard his version of Land.

Thanks Fiji!

Hank Ballard's 1954 hit Work With Me, Annie triggered a whole series of responses, a few of which were dance tunes.

Dance/Dancing???

Do not want, I am a honky with no rhythm................

Few times I tried, felt like Lurch....

Odd thing I liked and was good at square dancing as a 2-3rd grader. Maybe the technical side appealed to me, and it was not rhythmic much.

Crikey mate! It's got to be Waltzing Matilda

That should have been chosen as Australia's national anthem.

My wife and I were at bar in our new town, They had a Juke box. I love Juke boxes!

She said: Don't put on Van Morrison, people are dancing.

I didn't listen to her and put this one on:

Jackie Wilson Said - Van Morrison

She knows better now then to question my selections!! LOL
