Apples to Oranges.
No one, anywhere, characterized those people as heroes. Or “Great American heroes” etc...
My point is simple. Sometimes politics is perception. I bet the majority of the country outside of our little utopia here thinks McCain was great. Slamming him after he’s dead looks bad. Whether its justified or not really doesn’t matter.
Let Trump be Trump.
“My point is simple. Sometimes politics is perception. I bet the majority of the country outside of our little utopia here thinks McCain was great”
You seem to be making my point. So ignorance is bliss?
Maybe if people think McCain is great they need a wake-up call. History depends on truth, pretending someone is sainted because they dies eliminates any chance of learning form the past and is frankly despicable.
For God’s sake man, get off it. McCain had Republican opposition the last two times he ran for office in Arizona. And both times his opponent got near 40% of the vote. As for McCain, he screwed up Syria. He screwed up Libya. He did nothing to alleviate the border problem that Arizona and the USA has with Mexico. He had one of the nastiest tempers in the history of the Congress. And he had few friends. Most were scared to death of him because he was utterly undependable. Hundreds of people probably carried a mirror to his funeral to stick under his nose just to make sure he was dead.
You are wrong Tangled, and trying to read what the public is thinking in a fool’s errand.
It does NOT matter what the public thinks, what matters, as ALWAYS THE TRUTH.
IF YOU CANNOT SEE AND ACCEPT THE TRUTH YOU WILL FOREVER BE INFLUENCED BY WHAT PEOPLE THINK.
That is sad. Hold your fire against Truth Tellers, for they are the the people to believe.
