Special Counsel Robert Muellers top prosecutor Andrew Weissmann will by leaving his role at the special counsels office and Justice Department soon, to the Special Counsels office.
Special Counsel spokesman Peter Carr told SaraACarter.com that Andrew Weissmann will be concluding his detail to the Special Counsels Office in the near future. Carr did not elaborate on whether or not Muellers Special Counsel will be wrapping up.
Weissmann, described by The New York Times as Muellers Pitbull for his style and tactics of prosecuting cases. In 2015 Weissmann was selected to run the Department of Justices criminal fraud section and was later handpicked by Mueller to join the ongoing Special Counsels Office investigation into the alleged obstruction and alleged collusion between Trumps 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.
Weissmann mainly oversaw the case against Paul Manafort, who has now been sentenced to seven and half years in prison for tax and bank fraud.
According to NPR Weissmann is leaving to teach at New York University and work on a variety of public service projects. Apparently, this includes his longstanding interest in preventing wrongful convictions by shoring up forensic science standards used in courts, the sources told NPR.

ping!!
The end is near!!
translation: Democrats have done their calculus and concluded that at this point they have a better chance of taking Trump down in the election than with any contrived coup or impeachment.
For the last five years or so, every year is more fascinating and eventful than the last. I’m about to overdose.
Also: They might be sensing that Barr is going to drop the hammer (I hope and pray) and they had better start going into CYA mode.
No offense but Pepe the frog says otherwise... Kek
I would love to believe that Barr is going to go after them, but given his resume I really doubt that.
“Also: They might be sensing that Barr is going to drop the hammer (I hope and pray) and they had better start going into CYA mode.”
Barr? Drop the hammer on Dems? *chuckle*
Are you new here?
“Special Counsel Robert Muellers top prosecutor Andrew Weissmann will by leaving his role at the special counsels office and Justice Department soon, to the Special Counsels office.”
Where are Tony Podesta and his brother Jon Podesta?
Are there any recent sightings?
Lol. Barr fired him cause they are in cahoots.
Got to love the logic pretzels people twist into to convince them selves nothing is going on...
Perfect for Mueller to hire for his hitman team. A "criminal" and a "fraud" who is a vicious and vindictive political hack.
Lol trust the judgment of a fan of the Browns. You must just have gotten too used to losing. LOL
What is more surprising is the end was not apparent here. Weismann and by extension Mueller were reportedly looking to go deeper on a fishing investigation apparently to ensnare Kushner, DJTjr and Erik Prince, presumably for more process crimes.
AG Barr who is overseeing them said, “Whattaya got?” Seeing nothing he says no more fishing expeditions.
According to Jack Posobiec on Twitter and OAN, he claims his DOJ source expressed exactly this.
So all the word about the end was premature and these azzholes were not looking to throw in the towel. They intend to cover up and protect the #RussiaCollusionHoax at all costs for however long they can.
Mrs. Frederickson?
Is that you?
Please dont hit me in the head with an eraser again!
Those big erasers hurt when the shop teacher threw them at full speed.
“Lol trust the judgment of a fan of the Browns. You must just have gotten too used to losing. LOL”
