Although Pelosi was elected as one of 435 members of the House, representing only San Francisco, she climbed her way to the top of leadership only to hijack the government appropriations process and shutdown part of the government; block the president from delivering the State of the Union address in the House for the first time ever; and, obstruct border security to protect the American citizenry and immigrants alike and uphold national sovereignty. It is Pelosi, not Trump, who is the authoritarian.
I believe Trump should adjourn Congress unitl they give him border wall funding.
He has the constitutional power to do it.

He could hold it in a huge Aircraft hanger at Camp David for all that it matters, and seat them on folding chairs. From that 1 statement "he may adjourn them to such time as he shall think proper" he can choose the spot and adjourn congress if I read it right.

And I like the way you use only the president’s initials WITHOUT the “P” that others here use. I guess they weren’t around when “JFK” was known without the “P” or “LBJ” without the “P”. A question - why is it safe for ANYONE to show up for work at the Capitol if it’s not safe enough for the president to give the SOTU address from there? If anything, it’s the Capitol police who should be furloughed, keeping all of Congressional personnel away while the president should be perfectly safe therewith his SS detail. Just things a common taxpayer who foots the bills isn’t expected to understand, I guess.

I heard a snippet on CNN (as much as I could stand around 4 pm) that if he gives the speech anywhere other than the House, it will just show the WORLD just how dysfunctional or bad off the country really is...with heads NODDING all around!! He needs to hold it wherever he can fit in all the Angel “families” and she can’t parade the “the out of work” federal employees. I’m surprised she won’t give in for that advantage (to her) alone!
