WOW ... I din't realizze how long since I posted an update on Richie.
I've had a couple of issues and get side-tracked. :(
Sorry.

Not many changes in Richie's daily routine. BUT ....
He always has a smile for us. He seems to be growing like that famous weed.



He is still on the ventilator but no longer needs an oxygen supplement.
He is getting enough oxygen from his surroundings.
He still eats very little except from the peg tube.
He does love his IPad and his cartoons.
He has both physical and speech therapy 2 or 3 times a week.
Not sure how much good it is doing.
He still 'talks'. Wish we knew what he was talking about. :)



Richie is still sleeping better during the day than at night.
Since Brian is the 24/7 caregiver, he is exhausted.
He does not trust anyone else with Richie's care.

I pray that Richie will get his days and nights straightened out soon.
Last week, Richie went to sleep at 5:00am. Brian got about 3 hours sleep.

As you offer prayers for Richie, please offer a prayer for Brian.
Grampa is concerned that Brian is going to make himself sick.

Richie is a Blessing to our Family. Thank you for keeping him in your prayers.

Amy, thank you for this update. Yes, he is growing like a weed! And, yes, I/we need to continue to offer up healing prayers for Richie and Brian. Daddy’s love and care is profound but he does need his rest. Praying that our prayers reach the throne room of our gracious awesome God and miracle healing is working in Richie. Come, Holy Spirit and touch this beautiful boy and also provide rest for daddy and mommy.

Your Divine Hand of healing, often a mystery to us, is most gratefully anticipated for little Richie, and also for his devoted earthly dad. Help them, Lord, achieve a sleep/wake balance so that Brian can care effectively for Richie; nevertheless acknowledging that Your care is the most important. Thank You, Father, for Your healing mysteries in Richie’s recovery. Give all his loved ones patience as well as discernment with Your plan for Richie.
