The last chance for the UN to do anything useful, will be to either protect the Kurds from genocide or take steps to recognize their legitimacy as a PPP (perennially persecuted population), possibly leading to independence.
If they can do all they've done for the Paleostinians, they should do it for the far-more-deserving Kurds.
OTOH, if they leave the Kurds out to dry, the US should permanently defund that pathetic organization.
It seems to me we walk away from too many folks who have chosen to be on our side. Who would anyone in the future be stupid enough to.
