A Florida man has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money online for President Trump's border wall, saying "it's up to Americans to help out and pitch in to get this project rolling." As of Thursday afternoon, the GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $6 million, with a goal of $1 billion — a fifth of the $5 billion that President Trump has been demanding, unsuccessfully, from Congress.
Brian Kolfage, who says on the page he is a Purple Heart war veteran who lost three limbs, writes: "If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall." The fundraiser received contributions from more than 100,000 people by Thursday afternoon

I think it is more the idea. We’ll all probably get our money back, but think of it more as a Tea Party thing. It is getting attention where we need it. That said, if you don’t want to give, don’t. I felt like I was shoving my money up Pelosi and Schumer’s collective nose and twisting it. Made me feel pretty good.

Your math is incorrect. It’s much more than that. 10,000 per hour equals 240,000 in 24 hours
10,000 donors per hour is the point I want to make.
We have a ways to go to get the 60,000,000 voters to make a contribution.
But it would be great to have more than 1 million donors before Christmas. That would be one of the best Christmas gifts I have ever received.

It depends. It is going up exponentially now, but we don’t know what the ceiling is and when it will flatten or decrease. Nobody can predict how much is going to come in! Pretty neat.
It is now North of $7 million and climbing.
At the present money donation rate between 70-80 days.
There is no way to solve this. I think the only variable that can be determined is the number of possible donors per hour. How much traffic can their server handle. And from what I have seen, the people with really deep pockets haven’t gotten involved yet.
Nancy Pelosi just donated 5 for the cause.
Not great at math, but if someone can find several sample data points, like x amount/24 hours, x amount 36 hours, etc, I can find the rate of increase.
