The 21-year-old avowed neo-Nazi who murdered a woman when he plowed his car into a crowd of counterprotesters last year at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.
A jury in Charlottesville said Tuesday that James Alex Fields Jr. should be sentenced to life plus 419 years in prison and $480,000 in fines, for killing Heather Heyer and seriously injuring 35 others.
Judge Richard Moore will decide whether to sign off on the recommended sentence at a hearing on March 29.

It’s all fake. If you look at the pictures they surrounded his car. They were trying to kill or hurt him. He has a right to self defense. I don’t really believe the whole thing.
NC did put into law, that if a crowd tries to stop a car in the road . By law the person driving can run over them.
The whole white supremist thing in Charlottsville was obviously a staged fake event. It was not real.

Lizzie Grubman ran her SUV into a crowd of people in East Hampton in 2002 because she was mad that common people were getting into her club. Nobody threatened her. Nobody hit her car with a baseball bat. Nobody panned an AR-15 across her line of sight.
16 people were hurt seriously.
You could call it a hate crime.
She served two months.
That’s what I remember reading. She wasn’t actually hit by the car but had a heart attack in the aftermath.

Is the $480k due now, or is it due when he gets released just prior to he 480th birthday?
If he elects to pay when he is released from solitary prison sometime towards the end of the 25th century, will he owe interest on the $480k?
He did not hit her .
This sentence is pure Mob Rule .
The trial was Mob Rule .
This trial needs to be thrown out on appeal and moved .
In the US, there’s no right to self defense when you’re white and right.
Whoever this kid’s lawyer was, must’ve been a joke.
On the other hand, there was no way the gov was going to take a chance on this, as McAuliffe was the one who put out the stand down order that created this situation.
Had this kid been found not guilty, there’d be a good chance to go after McAuliffe in some way I bet.
