I didn’t think he made Major while he was in the Army,he only got to the Grade of Captain.
Muller was a Marine Officer and served his 6 year tour as required of single tour, active duty Marine officer. It would be very hard, if not impossible, for a one tour officer to rise above the rank of Captain.
He did however earn the title of “ex-Marine” which is an insult to Marine veterans.
