Chinese state TV says agreement has been reached with the US not to impose any additional trade tariffs after 1 January and talks will go on.
It made the announcement after US President Donald Trump met China's President Xi Jinping for the first time since a trade war erupted this year.
Both a Trump adviser and Chinese media said earlier that talks after the G20 summit in Buenos Aires had gone well.
At the summit earlier on Saturday, the G20 leaders agreed a joint declaration. The document notes divisions over trade but does not criticise protectionist activity...

What happened was Trump imposed a 25% tariff on $50B of Chinese goods in July. That was for unfair pracices and theft of IP. The Chinese responded in kind. Next he imposed 25% tariffs on $16B in goods back in August The Chinese matched those too. So in September Trump put a 10% tariff on $200B in goods. That was due to rise to 25% at the end of the year. The Chinese vowed to retaliate but not match those tariffs. They assumed they could squeeze certain US exporters and pressure Trump to stop. But they really have no leverage.
Trump just put that increase on hold. Nobody has done anything comparable to Trump. And you claim he has done nothing:
I think Trump needs to drop this stalling, and ACT.
He did, and it worked. Trump also put tariffs on steel and aluminum separate from the above. That was to stop icheap mports from countries caused by low priced exports from China to those countries.
Why?
That can work both ways. Good cop, bad cop. However intellectual theft has to bother them. How can you partner with someone when they are stealing from you.
Meanwhile, China will agree to purchase a not yet agreed upon, but very substantial, amount of agricultural, energy, industrial, and other product from the United States to reduce the trade imbalance between our two countries. China has agreed to start purchasing agricultural product from our farmers immediately, the White House said.
Xi also plans to designate Fentanyl as a controlled substance, according to the statement. As the U.S. opioid crisis continues to rage, it would suggest that people selling the drug to parties in the U.S. would be subject to stiff penalties in China.

So, you’re smarter and more prescient in business than Donald Trump, eh? Let us all know when you plan to run for the office.
If it were "crap", people would not be buying it. Free trade raises living standards.
Trump has done well taking China to task. He may need to do more but hes doing %1000 more about China than anyone else.
Are there really real estate options like there are stock and commodity options?
Sure even more flexibility. Buyer and seller can write up any agreement. Can include contingencies and other terms and conditions. For example, a rent to own is essentially an lease with an option to buy.
My nephew is looking into a rent to own and I don’t know what to tell him about it.
Do you recommend it and under what circumstances is it better than buying?
thanks :)
Have an attorney or experienced realtor read agreement. Good way to buy with lower down payment, can be certain they want to buy. Possible higher rent if don’t buy.

Un-Winning.
Traitor.
It lowers the standards of US workers. Fact. Not that you give sh!t.
Thanks
Workers are consumers too.
Thanks for the Marie Antoinette response.
Media spin: “Trade War erupted”
Reality: “Trump’s decision to fight Chinese unilateral economic war on the US after 12 years of taking it.”
