The market is practically collapsing for anything but trucks and SUV’s for domestically based manufacturers. Fiat-Chrysler has already announced that they were abandoning the small and midsize car market in the US, so has Ford for all but Mustang, now comes GM. I don’t particularly like the idea of nothing but trucks and SUV’s on the road, I like well-handling cars personally. No doubt this is a repercussion from millennials’ noted lack of interest in driving. Maybe the economy turning around and their getting decent job will turn the situation around. I hope so. Buick in particular was really starting to get their product line looking good, the Cascada convertible, the Regal and the Lacrosse are all very nice looking and apparently well-constructed cars.
My 2013 Buick Verano is pretty much bullet proof.
