While many Mexican locals in the border city of Tijuana have given the Central American migrant caravan a warm reception, a growing number of frustrated residents have taken to the streets in protest.
Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum is speculating holding a referendum in the city to decide if the thousands who have reached the Mexican border with California recently should be allowed to stay as reports grew of angry residents shouting insults and throwing rocks at the migrants with some engaging in fist-fights as well, Fox News reported.
U.S. journalist Emily Green shared videos online of protesters marching toward a makeshift shelter on Sunday where about 2,000 Central Americans are staying, planning to kick them out.

Police reportedly secured the shelter and kept the protesting residents from breaching the space.

Tensions have continued to escalate in the city as the caravan, which was attempting to reach the U.S border to claim asylum, has reached Tijuana where many of the migrants have been sleeping on a dirt baseball field at an outdoor sports complex, Fox News reported. Nearby is a barbed wire fence separating Mexico from the United States.
Approximately 2,700 Central American migrants have applied for asylum in Mexico as officials believe the numbers will soon rise to about 10,000 with many needing to be sheltered for more than six months, according to Fox News. And despite an offer last month by Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to provide the migrants temporary identification and work permits as well as medical care and housing, the government now admits it lacks the resources to provide housing for the thousands pouring in.
These are our people, we want to do what we can for them, Alden Rivera, the Honduran ambassador in Mexico, told reporters on Saturday while visiting the sports complex. In Honduras, we respect human rights.
President Trump took to Twitter to respond, echoing Gastelums remarks that Tijuana could not handle the influx of migrants and telling them to Go home!
The Mayor of Tijuana, Mexico, just stated that the City is ill-prepared to handle this many migrants, the backlog could last 6 months. Likewise, the U.S. is ill-prepared for this invasion, and will not stand for it. They are causing crime and big problems in Mexico. Go home!

Ahead of the weekend, Trump expressed his anger over the BIG CON of migrants seeking U.S. asylum because of fears of living in their own country.
Isnt it ironic that large Caravans of people are marching to our border wanting U.S.A. asylum because they are fearful of being in their country yet they are proudly waving .

.their countrys flag. Can this be possible? Yes, because it is all a BIG CON, and the American taxpayer is paying for it!

Many local groups have been welcoming the caravan in Tijuana however, donating food and clothing even as their fellow residents are protesting the hundreds pouring in each day and Border Patrol officers are out in full force.
Why is this not on ABCNNBCBS?................Because if they don’t report it, it didn’t happen................or so they think..................
I hope the Tijuaneros consider devolving into cannibalism . That’ll put a damper on the caravans .
Good for them. Many of them may be legit day laborers and cross the border daily legally. The legal ones depend on us and don’t want to be undercut by the illegals.
The Reagan amensty was 3 million illegals.
Now, most people agree we have north of 22 million of them.
20% of Mexico lives in the USA, as does 25% of El Salvador.
This is utterly ridiculous and has been for DECADES.
Even if the Hondurans get through or go away———it is no way near over.
The Mexican government said there are more caravans coming from Brazil, Columbia and Venezuela.
Officials in Baja, CA say there are currently 9,000 migrants moving through Mexico in caravans.
Politicians can only react
The President of Mexico now has grounds to react strongly. His citizens are now being harmed
The gordas blubber will take awhile to digest
I work with several Mexican nationals in the financial field. They throw up their arms and roll their eyes over this caravan thing. “It should never have got past the southern border.” They love their country and hate seeing what’s become of it through corruption, political ineptitude, and a failure decades ago to address the cartels with an iron fist. They have no desire to take their families back to such lawlessness. Can’t say I blame them. I wouldn’t either.
the Cartels know that the way to ensure these people are let into the US is to massacre a couple of hundred in the camps.
The international cry for admission would be a ROAR.
And it would ensure admission of their operatives.
“I’m a Cancer with a Bad Moon.” LOL!
Brings back memories.
Carnejo esta carnejo..............
Gangs of Hondurans, caravans from Brazil, Columbia and Venezuela numbering 9,000 migrants now moving through Mexico to our border........
Besides riding the US gravy train and sending billions of remittances back home.....these are organized “pressure groups” .....people who will make demands from our Congress.
No question that their governments are salivating over the possibilities.
Now they know how we feel!
“Good for them. Many of them may be legit day laborers and cross the border daily legally.”
And all this bs is making it increasingly difficult for anyone to get across the border. Traffic is slow-moving now, thanks to all the invaders.
because when it happened in California, Americanos were labeled extremists and racists and Nazis and whatever.
And the Left can’t figure out how to label the Messicanos. Can’t call them extremists, can’t call them racists, certainly can’t call them Nazis, conundrum, conundrum.
Tijuana is equipped to handle American tourists who bring US dollars, not thousands of broke freeloaders.
