California GOP ponders way forward after stunning losses

With Walters’ loss to newcomer Katie Porter, Democrats will hold a 44-9 edge in U.S. House seats, with another Orange County GOP seat in peril. The county was once home to President Richard Nixon and was considered a foundation of the modern conservative movement, gaining the moniker “Reagan country.”

Democrats are on track to hold every statewide office — again. And there wasn’t even a Republican on the ballot for U.S. Senate.

“The California Republican Party isn’t salvageable at this time,” concluded Kristin Olsen, a former Republican leader in the state Assembly.

“The Grand Old Party is dead — partly because it has failed to separate itself from today’s toxic, national brand of Republican politics,” she wrote in a column on the website CALmatters.

Shawn Steel, one of California’s two Republican National Committee members, said the state party has “reached the point of desperation.”

“The party’s problems have been around longer and run much deeper than any one person. From money to grassroots organization, California Republicans are completely outmatched,” Steel wrote on the Washington Examiner website.

A generation ago, the state was once a reliable win for the GOP in presidential elections. And in Orange County, largely white, conservative homeowners delivered winning margins for Republicans year after year.

But a surge in immigrants transformed the state and its voting patterns. The number of Hispanics, blacks and Asians has outnumbered whites since 1998. And many of those new voters lean Democratic. The number of registered Republicans has been in a freefall for years — even independents outnumber them.

Would have been nice when the Republicans had control of the Senate and House to reform Federal voting rules at least.

That’s what happens when you assist your rival party to import voters for them.

The best thing to do, for the Republican party, is not to resist, but record everything. Tie every decision that is causing California to go to hell to every decision Democrats have made and document which laws the Democrats have passed that is causing all of California’s problems.

It’s not just immigrants. White voters vote Dem here too. Whites were 63% of the electorate and they voted for Gavin Newsom 57%-43%. Compare that to Missisippi where whites vote Republican 85%-15%.

Yep, the media and public school system has steadily dumbed down/brainwashed American voters (including whites). Happening here in Montana.

Idiots

We have 'em here in the Soviet of Washington, too. They are determined to make the GOP the Dodo party - and have virtually succeeded.

It’s hard to compete and win against a Democrat party that cheats, lies, steals, and manufactures votes at will.

A quick reminder again: Out of hundreds of races, no Republican has beaten a federal Democrat incumbent in California since 1994. Yet Democrats have beaten Republicans in every race where an incumbent has been defeated. 100% Dem wins. This is a statistical and logical impossibility.

Too bad for normals in California

There is literally no hope because they have been demographically swamped and Democrats now have a permanent electoral majority

All they can do is leave the state

In a few years, the rest of the nation will be taken over as well and there will be no place left to run away to

300,000 Indians in the Bay Area. Hard working, educated, socially conservative. Have one issue in their lives. Bring the rest of the damn family over from India. Will support the political party that is for liberal immigration policies.

What California GOP? Last time looked around there, the only republican Larry In fight was a worthless little bunch of country club types - endorsing or enabling or at least not standing up to the commie- leftist takeover of that once- golden state. Not much conservative voice even. And they let the D’s change the voting rules so that - in many races- it’s just two democraps on the ballot. Not even a token gop-e. And nearly zero marketing. Outreach, public education effort, campaigning. Almost all invisible.

I live in Young Kim’s district. Many Trump supporters live in the district. I am a big Trump supporter. This has alwsys been and still is a conservative district. Young Kim is a Never Trumper and a Rino. Her campaign called me several times to obtain my vote. They called many of my family members and friends requesting their votes as well. I told the callers she had to publicly show support for our president or none of the folks in my extended family and friends would vote for her. That is why she lost.

This is the future of America.

Conservative values will be illegal.

Firearms will be completely banned.

Religion will be forbidden.

White people will be destroyed.

California’s anti-democratic in principle primary elections are one of the reasons. Only the top two vote getters in a primary even if they belong to the same political party are allowed to compete with each other in a general election.

The county was once home to President Richard Nixon

As if the man was a paragon of Republican values.

He thought he could placate Liberals by out-Liberaling them with policies like Wage and Price Control and pushing for the formation of Leviathin (sp?) bureaucracies like OSHA, EPA, Council on Environmental Quality, etc. How'd that work out for you, Tricky Dick?
