Don’t call on him for a question......
Tell him to sit the hell down and shut up.
Tap him on the nose with a rolled up newspaper....
Why not just do away with those stupid press briefings?
The fag “judge” can make them let little Hymie into the clubhouse but he can’t make anybody let the dumbass ask any questions. If I was president, I’d make Acosta ask the question in Spanish and then I’d tell him that I don’t understand Spanish and go on to the next person.
Make him wear a dunce cap. Put a thumb tack in his chair. Have interns throw spit wads at him!! Give him swirlies, titty twisters and wedgies!! In other words...let’s bring this down to their childish level.
No big deal? I beg to differ, sir...
Trump sounds like he is not going to appeal.
BIG mistake! This is just going to open the floodgates for Lilliputian judges to tie his hand, bogus ruling after bogus ruling.
Just turn out the fargin lights and let the judges run things.../unbelievable.
It’s over folks. I know Trump is trying to stay in office and avoid being impeached but this is ridiculous.
This is something that needed to be dealt with firmly, and I have to say I think Trump failed miserably on this one.
He should have just said “okay. He can come back in for the press briefings we’re no longer giving. Have fun sitting there looking at each other.” He didn’t. Instead, he let that self-important, misbehaving little leftist puke win, which is how it will be spun EVERYWHERE.
It also has empowered the leftist judges, who already think they can / should / do run the country better than the President. Next, they’ll be ruling he HAS to call on certain people and answer certain questions. Or they’ll just rule he should resign, and get it over with. If you give them an inch they’ll take fifteen miles - and he just handed over the inch.
Just wow.
I would have litigated to the end...
The President is brilliant at reality TV...so of course he knows that this isn't an option.
I think the President is just issuing a statement here because a response is expected.
The President has massive legal support on this and all issues. I think we can rest assured that the President's legal eagles got to work on this issue immediately after Acosta was banned and they made an assessment of the probable response from the judge involved.
Whatever comes next is a chess move on the part of the President.
Remember, the President is that pig your mom told you not to wrestle with because he loves to wrestle and get dirty.
We can't know what comes next, but we can know that the President is having fun and will have that fun at Acosta's and CNN's expense.
I think that is a mistake. I still wouldn’t let him in. Acceding to the judge’s ruling is effectively relenquishing control to judges. I still maintain it is a WH location, WH briefing, WH issued credentials... I think it is 100% at the discretion of the WH who is allowed in and who is not.
Acosta will assume that he and Trump now have a ‘special’ relationship and that they are “okay” now; almost like buddies. Jim, have I got news for you!...HEADLINE: Don’t push (press) your luck.
I really want to see the Secret Service tase this idiot, that would be comedy gold
Unfortunately the Constitution is not selective. It has to be all of them or none of them. It’s the same in most states for a business. You cannot deny access because as long as your open sign is on it is public property. You can “refuse service” if it is posted, but they can stay if they like as long as the business is “open to the public”.
You cannot have anyone thrown out or charged with trespass until you completely close the business to the public as a whole. Then it becomes private property again and you can remove or charge trespassers. I learned this with my own business.
Unfortunately Trump is in the same type of position here, it has to be all of them or none of them. Best thing he could do is just shut it down and close it up every time Acosta is out of line. It won’t be long and the other networks will be suing CNN because they keep messing everything up and getting EVERYONE kicked out.
Acosta would get fired and not be able to get a job ANYWHERE after just a couple of these conference shut downs. Respect will start to be the normal again.
He should have made it clear that CNN was free to find another correspondent who would behave themselves.
He misbehaved and was thrown out. Why does he get a do over? Appeal to the higher court.
Trump, WTF? Just pull the plug on the damned WH media briefings. They’re useless. Set the script when you have something to say, and invite selected members of the media.
Either stop the briefings (preferred) or basically tell the judge to “go ahead and enforce” his decision. Challenge him. You’re the Chief Freakin’ Executive - don’t get pushed around by a judge. Tell him to go back to his branch of government - and carry on.
Damn, this backtracking is so un-Trumpian.
