Tester wins third Senate term in Montana
The Hill ^ | November 7, 2018 | Alexander Bolton

Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) is the projected winner in Montana, surviving a race that tightened in the final weeks amid heavy campaigning by President Trump and his eldest son, Donald Trump, Jr.

Tester, a third-generation farmer from north central Montana, ran on his record and did not invite any prominent Democratic politicians to campaign for him in an effort to keep the focus on him and his opponent, Matt Rosendale, a Maryland transplant who moved to the state in 2002.

Can someone explain to me why it takes forever in Arizona to count ballots? They are moving at a snails pace.

Also, the NRSC did a terrible job fielding candidates in Senate races in the rust belt this year. It’s like they just wrote it off. There were ripe pickings in Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, and the candidates picked were (other than James in Michigan) just not very good.

Tester has been running campaign commercials for two years.

Lots of them.

A lot of money was spent on Tester, and you have to ask yourself “Why?”

The really ironic thing is that the Democrats cheated up a storm to get Tester elected the first time (Watch the video of MT Democrat Governor Schweitzer admitting to a meeting of lawyers that the Democrats cheated) so that they had enough Democrat Senators to pass Obamacare.

In fact, Tester was the lynchpin for the Democrat Party.

Without Tester being elected, there would be no Obamacare.

And Tester, with the support of Montana’s crooked Democrat Press, ran ads accusing his opponent of raising everyone’s health insurance premiums, when in fact, HE was the essential lynchpin for raising health insurance rates.

Goebbels would be proud of Montana’s Democrat Party.

How many liberals have moved to Montana over the last decade or two?

Libertarians should support trump and not run any races in 2020

With the party purged of RINOs and his America first theme..Trump is as close to their views as any major political party politician ever will be

Could you imagine if senate control had come down to this race?

I’m sure the libertarians would want another constitionalist on the Supreme Court yet they almost ruin it with no shot candidates

Montana is a Republican state right? How come they love Tester so much, after what he did to Dr. Jackson I figured he’d be gone for sure..and he voted against Kavanaugh

Agree. I really thought Tester was toast. Disappointing.

MT couldn’t find a native-born conservative Republican to run against him? Really?

Hey, Montana, isn’t there one native American GOPer that you could have put up against Tester?

RE:" Had there NOT been that infernal practice of voting early, people would've gone to the polls knowing there were only two on the ballot."

Elections could be fair and perfect with the simple move to vote on week-ends. BUt democrats always stop the move. Instead they come up with things like all mail elections and early voting so they can manipulate the actual counts.

(As I listen to the news, I am just hearing that a box full of ballots was just found in a Phoenix precinct dominated by hispanics)

College towns and thousands of California replants. First they destroy their state, then they move to Oregon, Idaho, or Montana.

Montana used to have three major employment areas: mining, lumber, agriculture.

The Democrats destroyed the lumber and mining industries.

These were industries where a young man without a college degree could find a job that allowed him to provide a decent life for himself and his family.

Can’t do that anymore.

Government and tourism are Montana’s big employers now.

That's what I was thinking - a Ben "Nighthorse" Campbell type would have mopped the floor with him. The GOP needs to work a lot harder to get Native Americans and Asians off of the Democrat plantation.

>>>F’n libertarians cost us another one.

No guarantee libertarians vote for the R. Thye like abortion and legalized stuff that conservatives don't. However, the greens most certainly cost Arizona for the dims and Florida for Gore in 2000. It works both ways. Without Angela Green...the green on the ballot in AZ...Sinema wins AZ by almost 20K and that is a FLIP. At least this is just a Dim hold. Count your blessings.

There are more than enough Republicans in Montana that this should have been a cakewalk. Montana and West Virginia were missed opportunities that will come back to haunt the GOP. 54 Senators is not enough to accomplish what President Trump needs, because there are still quite a few wobbly Senators such as Collins, Murkowski, and others. A 56-44 split would have ensured that the handful of Dem-lite Senators in the GOP Caucus couldn’t hijack an issue.

The Democrats control the government jobs.

Show any conservative views in an interview, and the Democrat interviewers adjust their subjective interview scores to keep you out.

Nepotism is horrible in government in Montana.

Don’t sweat college towns. They are going to have a rough decade coming up.

The word is out - college is for suckers and people that by law have to have a degree.

The rest are sick of being fleeced, have rich parents and are victims of arrested development, or here on student visas from other countries.

Once we shut the college system off of the immigrants, the colleges will start to fold.

It will be epic.

This is the third time Tester has won thanks to the Losertarian candidate. This is the third time Tester and the Democrats have goaded voters to vote for the Losertarian claiming the Losertarian is the “purest conservative”. At least this time the Losertarian stopped smoking dope and realized he was being played and dropped out bot too late.
