Chief of GOP in Israel: 'Republican enthusiasm even greater now than in 2016'

Two days before American voters head to the polls for this year’s mid-term elections, there are growing signs the long-awaited “Blue Wave” could fail to materialize, says the leader of the Republican Party’s overseas office in Israel.

A US-born attorney now living in Gush Etzion south of Jerusalem, Marc Zell, 65, is Vice President of Republicans Overseas, and chief of Republicans Overseas Israel. […]

“When it comes to mid-term elections, the traditional wisdom in the United States is the party in power loses seats in both the Senate and the House. Because the difference between Republicans in the Senate, for example, is only two seats, it would be very easy to think that Republicans would lose the Senate,” Zell told Arutz Sheva. “In fact, according to all what we’re seeing the polls… it looks like the Republicans are actually going to increase their representation the Senate by two, three, five seats or even more.” […]

… “The House of Representatives is being elected — all 435 seats — in this election. Six months ago, everybody believed that the Democrats would just walk over the Republicans and take the House of Representatives. That’s no longer the case. Even Democrats admit that the race is extremely close. They need 30 seats to take the House. It’s not clear that they’re going to get that. There’s even a chance the Republicans could not only hold on, but hold on with more than one or two seats.” …

The enthusiasm is greater now because the electorate has had two years to see for themselves that this President means what he says about MAGA. That he wasn’t just throwing out empty promises to get elected.

When GWB was president I worked for an Israeli company. At parties and meetings they’d talk politics. I often heard comments like GWB has been so good to Israel, followed shortly by GWB is such an idiot. It was bizarre...as if you were talking to two personalities in the same body. GWB had done something good and they had a view of it. Then, they’d be possessed by the Democratic thought for the day; GWB evil...stupid.

For the most part, everybody I worked with had some connection to a university. Either they had advanced degrees and plenty of university friends or they were publishing papers on some esoteric science work. In any case, I blamed much of their bipolar weirdness on being associated with universities.

The university people I met who were not Israelis were pro-Palestinian. I often wondered how the Israelis coexisted with such hatred. At the Israeli parties I attended I never saw a Pakistani or Arab, even though they were common in the same departments. Hummm. Yet, Bush was soooo stupid.

I’m kind of thinking that like 2016, when polls call people the respondents aren’t being entirely honest and probably crack a smile on their face when they lie and say that they are voting for Democrats.

It’s called games people play.

And of course they’re not calling the whole country.

Also they are not pulling the masses

A real difference in culture, the amazing ability of Hebrew and the Jews to contain multiple conflicts and still think clearly.

I fervently hope countermeasures are in place to thwart the massive, desperate, and predictable efforts at voter fraud by a Demonrat Party not nearly as confident as in 2016.
