Donald Trump has ordered the military to be on alert over a US-bound migrant caravan as he declared a national emergency.
Referring to the caravan from Honduras, the president tweeted: "Sadly, it looks like Mexico's Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States.
"I have alerted Border patrol and Military that this is a National Emergency."
He added that the US would begin "cutting off, or substantially reducing aid" to three Central American countries.

I love, pray and support Trump and will definitely vote/support him in the future. However, when the first caravan/invasion hit a few months ago, I posted something on the lines that this was; “that it was the hill Trump needs to fight on” and was pretty well ostracized on here. Well, guess what? They’re now calling his bluff BIG TIME right before the mid-terms because he caved and let the first invasion walk on in. Now, we’re facing an even bigger threat...and then an even bigger threat should he cave again. The time has come for drastic action IF we’re to remain a sovereign country. By declaring a National Emergency allows him to address this as he sees fit.
IMHO, outside of a completely cutting off aid to these shit holes, the only way this is going to stop once and for all, is to place skilled snipers at that border. Give a very fair warning to all and then shoot/kill any of the male thugs that decide to call our bluff and approach the border. Give another fair warning to the women/children that they will be shot next should they approach the border. I suspect those that are left will hightail it back to their shit hole countries rather quickly. The plunder just ain’t worth dying for. Some things call for a use of the Big Stick. This is one of em.

Seriously though - what does this caravan intend to do once they reach the US border? Cross over into Texas and set up a town? what? Continue marching inland? to DC?

Before any of those items could come to some fruition, the mob of invaders will be on the border and there will be the choice of letting them in (and the 600 million to follow) or shooting. As for distance to engagement, its relative to what you are trying to accomplish.
Mexico will not stop them, despite half-hearted efforts designed mainly to keep the new trade pact alive while boosting the cash in the police pockets.
The military isn’t going to shoot or even fight with a group that includes some families or even women.
It’s an act of war against the United States.

Not that I don’t love our President, but I hate to see weasel words in there.
What does “begin” “cutting off” mean? 90%? 50% or 0.01%? And when? And when it says “cutting off, or substantially reducing” you can bet it’s going to be the latter. And THAT all depends on the definition of “substantially”.
How about... all aid stops NOW. Right now - and if you step one foot into our country we’ll kill you?

The irony is that the caravan was most likely organised by a DEM aligned NGO designed to help DEM for the mid terms.
