School has been cancelled today, so I am working from home. Still have power for now here in Greenville, SC.
It seems some people want deaths in the 1000’s and entire towns leveled before they will acknowledge the fact.
If Michael has made landfall further to the west than PCB would have been damaged significantly and it would have made for a much bigger story. That’s no consolation to downtown Panama City, which was in the western eye wall for a couple of hours. The inland track took it over lightly populated panhandle counties, but that’s no consolation to Marianna Fla which apparently suffered bad damage as it was in the eyewall of a Cat 3-4 storm at that point.
We lucked out and never did lose power. Had a lot of rain and very windy at times.
