I like what Linda is saying but honestly, we know what he really is deep down inside, a South Carolina, backstabbing version of that bitter old leftist McCain. He’s not doing this to help Trump or Kavanagh, he’s doing this to save his bacon in two years.

That could very well be the reason. Alternatively, if Trump doesn't run again for whatever reason (impeachment, health, etc.), then Graham's recent very good conservative statements help to better position Graham to run for the 2020 presidential GOP nomination. However, I would still view Graham with suspicion given his history.

I think a lot of us saw this coming. On another website (Instapundit) I posted a comment that:

"After the Roy Moore affair, people should have realized the Democrats had developed a gun that fires "Kook Bitches" at our candidates.

Their projectiles worked with Moore, but they are missing with Kavanaugh, or so I believe.

Kavanaugh is the "right kind" of people. He's was highly educated and on the right side of the tracks, not some doufus bible thumping hillbilly.

Lindsay was wonderful as a Congressman and “Manager” during the impeachment and trial of Clinton in the Senate. Then he got elected to the Senate and became pretty unbearable. I guess you’re right, it was the McCain influence.

Linda’s got his primary season up in little over a year. He’s gonna pretend to be Jesse Helms until then and after safely renominated, turn back into Cap’n Juan McQueeg’s buttboy from beyond the grave again.
