Regarding the unsecured server. There is one other possibility that should be considered:
The server was created and deliberately left open as a means to “gaslight” those foreign actors who would penetrate it.
I don’t think either the Clinton’s or Obama are bright enough to consider those possibilities. They just needed a place to conduct their illegal enterprise outside of the government servers.
