At one of Caracas biggest public hospitals, most bathrooms are closed. Patients fill jugs from a tiny tap on the ground floor that sometimes has a trickle of water. Operations are postponed or canceled.
The Central Venezuelan University hospital, once a Latin American leader, is reeling as taps run dry.

Turned off the showers. There goes the female vote!
And still they are forced to suffer because they have no Second Amendment to guard their country against tyrants such as Madura. Sad.
But...socialism is the wave of the future.
This is what the Dims are telling us.
Strangely, Alexandra Cortez is not available for comment on this development...
I notice the corrupt government is blaming right wing terrorists for cutting off the water.
Ill bet that they have single payer healthcare in Venezuela.
The information Minister says there is a special plan to fix the situation, but won’t tell anyone what it is... .
The Pelousy approach. We have to implement our secret plan, for you to find out what is in it.
75 percent do not have regular water according to surveys by two non government organizations.
Stink For Socialism!
Stink For Socialism!
Stink For Socialism!

Note to self: Cancel planned retirement move to Venezuela .
Yep. Wreckers, Comrades! Revisionist Trotskyite enemies of the workers' collectives! We've heard this song before.
What really happened is the same thing that happened with the Venezuelan hydroelectric industry: jobs were "redistributed" to party cronies from people who could actually do them, and money set aside for maintenance and training disappeared into party pockets, never to return. When the hydro broke nobody really noticed that much until the oil went dry as well, and the infrastructure rot was too far advanced for a quick fix before the money went dry too. Now there are power blackouts and water shortages and, as usual, it's somebody else's fault.
When she is available Cortez will simply say, the right people (add whatever country you want here) were not in charge with implementation of the socialist dream.
I took my 2 daughters camping/fishing in the Canadian Boundary waters and rents a VERY rustic cabin for the week. It had a hand pump well with limited water. Enough for drinking/cooking (after a boil) but minimal extra, though it did have a shower system rigged up where you could pour about 2 gallons warm water in a jug and with a pull chain get about a 1 minute spray on you. I explained you pulled that chain just long enough to get wet, then stop. Soap up, scrub down, and then pull again to rinse off. 1 minute.
You should have seen the blank stare, dumbfounded “Whaaaa...” look on those faces. Priceless.
So many joys of living in a Socialist hellhole...
If I were the USSR and/or PRC back 60 years ago, and was thinking about the best ways to destabilize the US, I would push socialism in those countries that border the US, foment anti-American anti-Capitalist hatred in those countries, and push for illegal immigration.
At least the shower technique gives them an advantage—a peek into the future facing their generation.
Long term if our education/cultural rot continues unabated electricity and clean water and capitalism will all cease.
No hygiene in a tropical climate. If that doesn’t cause an uprising, nothing will.
