Apparently the people who immigrated here from India for more opportunity brought their socialism with them. Many of them are card-carrying commies. How can people be so dumb?
Kshama Sawant is a scum Communist pure and simple. There is no limits to the mischief she has pulled in Seattle.
Remember the good old days when the commies would march against city hall? Now the marches are planned in city hall! Sounds like the “Gang of Eight” dictates the new policies. Businesses in Redmond (Microsoft) pay a head tax to the city - about $83 per employee per year. I suppose the influx of workers to the city does put a stress on the police, fire, medical, roads, etc. And so many of them don’t live in the city - so don’t contribute with their property taxes.
It is pretty much a reverse commute - with folks living in Seattle, and driving east to Redmond and Bellevue to work. Maybe $83 is a rip-off the same as $500 is. But at least the $83 is portrayed as a reasonable number for a reasonable increase in city services. (Until one notes that the new city park that covers a square block in downtown Redmond is estimated to cost $41.2 million!).
But still, not some random $500 for some undefined goal to “reduce homelessness”.
