Floridas Orange County Sheriffs Office (OCSO) says a concealed carrier was able to pull his gun and fatally shoot an assailant while being robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning.
The concealed carry permit holder was a white male in his 60s and the deceased suspect was a Hispanic male in his 20s.
According to Fox 35, the OCSO said the concealed permit holder was using an ATM at a Wells Fargo just after 2:30 a.m. when the attempted armed robbery occurred. Although at gunpoint, the concealed permit holder managed to pull his gun and shoot, while simultaneously trying to get to his car and flee the attack.
The sheriffs office reports that the concealed permit holder actually left, calling 911 from his car, but returned to the scene to speak to deputies when they arrived.
WSVN reports the robbery suspect was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Another “democrat” voter who will be absentee or voting by mail from here on out.
I love a story with a happy ending.
Not really sarcasm, more like an accurate description of how liberal anti-gun activists feel about a situation like this.
the deceased suspect was a Hispanic male in his 20s.

Dreamer?
Who are the bloodthirsty nuts who say more guns = less crime!
Girls cowering in dorm rooms on rural campuses know better!
Another taxpayer relief bullet just doing it’s job.
Hard to say. There are a lot of Puerto Ricans in Central Florida.
Armed citizens are an occupational hazard to criminals.
That’s why the left wants US disarmed.
The GOP wants to import more of this type of people.
We have to elect new representation.
CCW Bump!
This ought to be the norm for the entire USA. Under the Second Amendment law, ALL law abiding Americans should be allowed to carry a firearm.
I would like to point one thing out.
One strategy that all gun training stresses is avoidance of situations where you might have to use your firearm. I think going to an ATM at 2:30 in the morning falls into that “you should avoid this situation” category.
This is great news for sure, however drawing on a drawn pistol is STRONGLY discouraged. Statistically it is very bad news.
Good for him and everyone else.
It is unfortunate these things have to happen. The entire intent of concealed carry is to make the robber, mugger, or whatever, think before acting and deciding it just isn’t worth it to try because there might be a gun involved.

Another “Dreamer” with his future as a Doctor dashed by a evil right winger.
Using ATM’s at night is an invitation for issues. Shouldn’t be that way but it sadly is. Nice this time it had a happy ending. Now he gets sued in civil court by the family. These type of events aren’t over when the gun smoke clears. And the guy has to live with the killing on his mind. Hard to see a clear winner.
this!!! but still, nice outcome!!
Oddly, that’s the way I read the 2nd amendment.
No Country for Young Men...apparently.
