His speech quickly turned political, just 48 hours after the annual White House Corespondents Dinner, with De Niro taking aim at the White House Correspondents' Association for distancing themselves from comedian Michelle Wolf.
'Shame on them! Stand up and strap on your balls and deal,' said De Niro. DeNiro also criticized President Trump for attacking Wolf in the days after her set.
'There was a lot of truth in Michelle Wolf’s jokes and the bullies and the liars are still intimidated by the strength and the truth,' said De Niro.
'Where we run into trouble is when we allow the bullies and liars to dictate the conversation.'

Apart from getting their names right, I challenge Mr. De Niro to name one specific truth contained in that woman’s vicious attacks on members of the Trump administration.
Savage remarked yesterday that he feels that De Niro is in the early stages of full-blown dementia. I’ve had two people in my family died of dementia and I’ve read several books on the subject and know firsthand what to look for. I think Dr. Savage might be onto something.
The onset of senility is tragic. Being famous and rich does not make it any less so.
That said, Deniro should hurry up and die.
