Can’t help it - I’m actually starting to like a rapper...wonders never cease.....
Anyone with a brain and without an agenda knew exactly what he meant the first time he said it.
This black man knew exactly what he was saying. In fact, it’s been stated before by myself another others in the past.
Fredrick Douglass, William E.B DuBois, etc.
There have even been other rappers that have put it into their songs.
But these are the voices that usually get drown out by the noise, or in some cases out right threatened. (e.g. Chance the Rapper).
My advice to Mr. West: double your security, and make sure you are not alone with any woman other than you wife.
With all that in mind: When they come for him, she’ll either be the target or the catalyst.
“Trump is a human being also...”
Wow, if Kanye had only said that much, he would have DESTROYED everything the Democrats claim about Trump, and Republicans as a whole.
...but he said much more, obviously.
He meant the slaves should have risen up and overthrown their oppressors. They didn’t, leading him to say that they remained slaves by choice.
I can almost guarantee that he read Booker T. Washington’s book, “Up From Slavery” - a read that should be mandatory for ALL people.
To paraphrase, West can make his own reality but he can't make his own facts.
“We can make our own reality”
Wait’ll everyone remembers that it was Oprah Winfrey who made this popular.
Slavery Was IS "A Choice.
Each person can take a decision to become comfortable with one or more of over 2,000 government assistance programs or to avoid becoming a slave dependent on government handouts.
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything thats in it,
Andwhich is moreyoull be a Man, my son!
