My wife and I visited Havana last July. They have no toilet seats. None. You have to squat.
My take on Cuba. The Mafia ran it much better, and the people had more freedom.

summed up the situation to me.
I suggested that things did not seem to be working very well
so he offered this reason:
“We pretend to work, and they pretend to pay us”.
