I keep getting e-mails from the same search firms for engineering jobs in the SF area of California. I keep telling them HELL NO. California, as far as I/m concerned, has gotten so bad that not only are the producers moving out, no producer will want to go there.
My no-go list for jobs:
California, Oregon, Washington
Minnesota (spent 10 years there)
Illinois
The entire Northeast, and I’m originally from New Jersey.

Yep. I keep getting calls and emails from headhunters too. I simply will not work anywhere where They can’t have my AR-15. That’s a good proxy since practically every place that wants to ban it is an expensive high tax Leftist chithole.
