If Hannity’s explanation is true, i.e., no retainer, no billing, no payment, he ISN’T Cohen’s client; he’s a friend or acquaintance.

So why was Hannity requesting anonymity and why did Cohen call him a client?

It just doesn't add up...

Nothing about this sorry excuse for an investigation adds up.

What did/does Cohen have to do with Russian “collusion”, which isn’t a crime anyway? Did Cohen actually say that Hannity was a client, or did someone on Mueller’s team (I prefer the term coven) see Hannity’s name somewhere in Cohen’s communications, see an opportunity to further muddy the waters and leaked the “secret client” meme? That’s how Mueller’s team has been operating since his appointment.

Furthermore, wouldn’t a federal judge assume that a high-powered Manhattan lawyer like Cohen might have some other big-name clients? A responsible judge would want to know if those other clients had anything to do with the core investigation before she compelled the attorney to expose them.

Finally, Hannity, just like any of us, has the right to his privacy. I have no doubt that Hannity’s telling the truth. He knows that Mueller’s inquisitors have all of the evidence and that they will, as they’ve done in the past, leak when it suits their purposes. So why lie?
