Meghan McCain Erupts After Audience Cheers Paul Ryan Retirement: ‘You Deserve Trump’
Breitbart ^ | 11 Apr 2018 | Pam Key

Wednesday on ABC’s “The View,” co-host Meghan McCain got visibly upset and raised her voice in anger while debating the retirement of House Speaker Paul Ryan.

After the studio audience loudly cheered the news, McCain said, “Cheering kind of surprises me a little bit because Paul Ryan is a politician of an era gone by. He was one of the most powerful congressmen between 2009 and 2016, before Trumpism sort of completely took over. He is a really classic conservative, and this party is the party of Trump now. People like me who are old-school conservatives, we’re really on our way out. and it makes me really sad. My husband, I was texting him about it, and he said, ‘He committed the worst sin — he was serious, polite and nice. That’s not what people want right now.’ He just gave a press conference saying he wants to spend more time with his family. I believe him to a point. I also believe he doesn’t want to deal with this anymore, and he doesn’t want to go home to his constituents in Wisconsin and try and explain some of the tweeting and the more incendiary things that President Trump is doing right now.”

She continued, “We’re having Trey Gowdy on tomorrow — this is the bloodletting of classic conservative. The people that are cheering. Do you know what comes in its place? Trumpism, and I assume if you don’t like Paul Ryan, you probably hate Trump more. So maybe don’t cheer when people like Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney and Trey Gowdy, and people like Ben Sasse, who are, thank God, still in office, or maybe on their way out,

Delusional. She is far far from "old-school" conservatism.

I used to listen to her talk show on America Now from 2015 until 2017 after they kicked Joe Pags off that network, and believe me she is anything but CONSERVAIVE, always knocking Trump. I finally could listen no more and dumped her before America One dumped her.

Her campaign memoir, Dirty Sexy Politics, was published in September 2010. In it she expresses her opinions about Sarah Palin and describes her relationships with the McCain campaign staff. She states that the Republican Party seemed "to have lost its way in the last ten years", that the conservative movement seemed "hell-bent on restricting our freedoms rather than expanding them", and that within the Republican Party, she felt a certain stress to take over the ideas of others, like Mitt Romney, especially regarding same-sex marriage, which was a danger for the existence of the party.

They do stand for something:

Republican: Trotskyist. Democratic: Marxist.

Trotskyist + Marxist = Collectivist + Globalist.

RINO was coined for a valid reason.

Trotskyism. Ask William son of Irving Kristol, who legitimized this corruption of conservatism, and labeled it Neoconservatism.

Leftists co-opted the Republican Party after WWII. They are the controlled opposition, and want the same things as the Marxist Democratic Party.

They hated Goldwater, Reagan, Buchanan, and Trump. See a pattern?

Tariffs were a plank in the authentic Republican Party platform before these Ivy League communists took it over.

Megan McCain must think her Dad and Ryan are conservatives. They are anything but...and I am super glad Ryan is leaving.

That list is not of true, classical conservatives. Goldwater was a libertarian. Reagan and Buchanan closest. Trump trying.

Trotskyism was James Burham and WFB error.

Classical Conservatism from English Common Law was rooted back to ancients of the Natural Law and influenced our Constitution. People who see liberty as license have been chipping away at is from beginning.

We get it back or we die as a Conservative country. We are fast accepting the errors of the French Revolution.

I wasn’t aware that senility, decrepitude, senectitude, infirmity, feebleness and, possibly, imbecility were contagious...She needs to stop hanging out with her dad...

Just wait until she hears the cheering when her old man dies. It will dwarf the Ryan cheering,

Classic Conservatives. Saying that reeks of recency bias, and means nothing.

Trump signed a budget the size of Obama’s.

*After* the GOP lead house and senate gave it to him.”

So he could have vetoed it.

“We’ve been having Obama-sized budgets for ages. Bush jr. was no deficit-hawk. In fact, who was president the last time we didn’t have a budget deficit?”

Trump is supposed to be an outsider.

For the record, I’m highly disappointed with the budget. I’m also concerned with the war-mongering.

I’m looking for a real wall on the Mexican border, getting manufacturing and technical education back on track, zero Left-wing social engineering, and selective tariffs to protect emerging industries that do not have the economies-of-scale to be competitive in a global market yet.

If I don’t get those, then I’m gonna have to do some serious soul-searching. ‘til then...patience.

At least McCain, a GOP-E’er if ever there was one, is being honest. She KNOWS that Republicans have been too nice all these years and have gotten NOTHING for it.

Delusional. She is far far from "old-school" conservatism.

She, like many, continues to conflate "Republican" with "conservative." Her old school is country clubber, however, which explains her weirdly dissonant belief that she's conservative. She's trying to conserve establishment clubbers like her dad. That to her is conservative.
