In a wide-ranging conversation, Prince Mohammed bin Salman also recognized the Jewish peoples right to their own land.
This much, at least, can be said for Mohammed bin Salman, the putatively reformist crown prince of Saudi Arabia: He has made all the right enemies. Among those who would celebrate his end are the leaders of ISIS, al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, and Hamas, as well as Yemens Houthi rebels, and the entire clerical and military leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran. As a bonus, there are members of his own family, the sprawling, sclerotic, self-dealing House of Saud, who would like to see him goneor at the very least, warehoused at the Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh, where the 32-year-old prince recently imprisoned many of his enemies and cousins during an anti-corruption sweep of the kingdom.
The well-protected Prince Mohammed does not seem particularly worried about mortal threats, however. He was jovial to the point of ebullience when I met him at his brothers compound outside Washington (his brother, Prince Khalid bin Salman, is the Saudi ambassador to the U.S.). Prince Mohammed (who is known widely by his initials, MbS) seemed eager to download his heterodoxical, contentious views on a number of subjectson womens rights (he appears doubtful about the laws that force Saudi women to travel with male relatives);

And Obama and ALL previous US administrations have financed, industrialized and weaponized the evil Sauds — the Sauds used the money they got from the oil shock of 70 (thanks Carter) to fund training of jihadis in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Somalia, Indonesia, Europe, the USA etc.

MBS is not taking baby steps - a place that for nearly a century put women under heavy curtains suddenly allow sthem to drive, to vote, to lead men -- that is revolutionary
Sunni and Shia are quite different - and Shia is by far the less deadly:
Nearly every singleterrorist since 2000 has beenSunni
Differences between Sunni and Shia:
- Sunni are kinda sola scriptura -
- what's in the Quran, the Hadiths (of al Bukhara and Al Muslim) and the Sirah (bio of Mo) cannot be challenged, discused or interpreted in any, any way.
- It is to be literally taken.
- Also, every single verse is to be taken as sacrosant
- There can be no modernization within sunnis
- Shia have different "interpreters":
- The largest bunch of Shias are 12er Shias (who acknowledge the first twelve imams) - mainly in Iran and Iraq but also in South Asia. DIFFERENT Ayatollahs interpret for them -- the Shia in Iraq have a different Ayatollah who at times has ruled against Iran and for the USA.
- You have the Zaidi (and their army is called the Houthis) in Yemen -- these have a Zaid imam quite different from the Iranians. Their beliefs are very similar to the Hanafi school of Sunnis
- You have Ismailis who are led by the Aga Khan who has interpreted the Quran that much of the injunctions are not relevant to today's world -- so the burqa is frowned upon among the Ismailis (what is ironic is that they are the descendents of the Hashashin (Assassins) - these are spread around South Asia and the West
- Bohris/Syedna Bohris - these are 7er Shia and are led by thei own Syedna (interpreter) - their women at the most wear colourful burqas (not black and no face coverings) or increasingly not even a head scarf -- these are mostly in south asia
- And you have Ibadis who are neither Sunni nor Shia - they are predominantly in Oman. They don't believe that the Quran is the pre-created word of Allah - most Mohammadens (sunnis especially) believe that the QUran was not created but pre-existed before creation.

Yep, he pays to Clinton Foundation.
To: NorseViking
That wasn’t MbS. Get your facts straight. The one who did that got nailed for corruption by MbS.

One very important thing to remember about most Muslims (Mutawakil, Zaidi (Houthi) and Ismaili are the exceptions) is that to THEM, the analogy of Christ, the Word of God, is
not Mohammad but rather the Quran
They hold that the Quran is uncreated, was dictated word for word byAllah to Mo, so it cannot be edited or put in context. Shia at least say you can interpret it for a philosophical point, but Sunnas say this is to be taken utterly literally as it is a holy item.
So burning the Quran for them is far worse than burning a Bible for us -- for us a Bible is God-inspired and burning it is bad, but for them the Quran is the literal word of Al and uncreated, so burning is like burning their god
