It is something worth taking a stand for with everything you have, such as an impassioned speech as to why he could not sign such a bill based on his previously stated belief that abortion is taking an innocent life. Maybe even do something really crazy like mention that we are one week away from Easter when Christ laid down his life for us. But nope. Trump throws in the towel on sacrificing 1000 babies a day to the god of convenience instead.
And your accusation stinks. I have defended Trump to anyone and everyone I have encountered since the election who spoke disrespectfully of him. Almost to the point of violence on at least one occasion.

I despise Planned Parenthood but this money that was appropriated for them in this short term bill was not in Donald Trump’s power to prevent. Congress had the votes to over ride the veto.
I believe that Planned Parenthood will be facing legal actions on many fronts in the near future and this money may not be delivered. Also President Trump is the best chance we have for conservative pro-life Supreme Court Judges. That will make a big difference on the abortion front. You may not have appreciated my response but it’s hard to see how someone who really cares about the unborn could be so off base on what & who will really help & protect them.

I think there’s one thing you may not be taking into account - even if the planned parenthood funding was 100% eliminated, most of those unborn babies would be murdered ANYWAY because the sub-humans who are murdering them would just find the money somewhere else.
I defended trump and lost two good long time friends over it. I wish I had my friends back now.
