... The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected the last-ditch plea by Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich to uphold a 2012 executive order by then-Gov. Jan Brewer to deny drivers licenses to DACA recipients, an order current Gov. Doug Ducey has left in place.
The justices gave no reason for their ruling. ...
It was shortly after Obamas action that Brewer directed the Arizona Department of Transportation to deny licenses to DACA recipients.
She cited a 1996 Arizona law that says
state licenses are available only to those whose presence in this country is authorized by federal law.
Obviously, they trampled all over the Tenth Amendment, she said, citing the amendment that says powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
She called DACA an illegal Obama executive action that trumped states rights. ...
Brewer argued thatthe U.S. Department of Homeland Security has no legal authority to permit DACA recipients to remain and work.
... Brewer said Mondays ruling leaves two options going forward.
One is for Trump to rescind DACA, something the president has tried to do.
But those efforts have so far been blocked by a federal judge.
The Supreme Court has declined to intercede, meaning there will be no final decision before at least this fall.
The other, said Brewer, is for Congress to finally address the question, in statute, of whether DACA recipients should be allowed to stay.
That would not only make moot any questionof whether they are authorized to be here
but make it clear that they are entitled to the same rights and privileges, such as licenses, as other legal residents who are not citizens.

The right to travel really isnt infringed here (well getting on a commercial airplane Ill grant you and also agree thats a violation of our rights) a drivers license only blocks operating a motor vehicle unless you can prove you can actually operate a car and have the health to do so.
Once again though - if youre an illegal immigrant you get a drivers license because its unfair to their livelihood but if you get a DUI after one drink youll be banned from the roads for life and we dont care if it puts you in the poorhouse.

a drivers license only blocks operating a motor vehicle unless you can prove you can actually operate a car and have the health to do so.Actually, it only blocks on the public roads. A ten year old can drive all day long on their folk's property, as can the owner with no permission at all required from the state. The whole "driver's license" scam started with the camel pushing its nose under the tent by requiring commercial drivers to have them. Over time, this, of course expanded to everyone, because there isn't a government agency on the planet that doesn't like regulating and micromanaging citizens any time they can get away with it.
The history of all this is quite clear and well-documented. However, a hundred years of beating the "driving is a privilege" mantra has convinced just about everyone that the lie is actually true. Because the masses have swallowed this huge lie whole, it's really even worth arguing. The facts are that the state will kill you if you refuse to ask for permission to exercise your common-law right to travel the public roads. It's not a hill I'm prepared to die on. There are better ones available. YMMV

I’d go along with that. It will make it easier to round them up in the future as well.

Better idea: BUILD THE WALL, and put automated .50 cal machine guns with infrared scopes on top of the wall.
Anything climbing the wall, or within 50 yards of the wall will be automatically TERMINATED !

Better idea" BILD THE WALL and put automated .50 cal machine guns with infrared scopes on top of the wall. Got no problem with that. We should be able to protect our border any way we see fit, especially as we have a hostile neighbor.
