Your weekend must have lacked any opportunity to attend a medieval fair, a science fiction movie, a lecture, or a new exhibit at the science museum. Or at least that is how the better weekends were spent by the circle of science geeks whom I acquainted with several decades ago while studying law at a major state university. The experience helped me to understand the type as I encountered them in later years. For minds so disposed, micro organisms and biological processes (or subatomic particles and quantum physics) are as familiar and real as old friends.

For the most part, I just want to relax on the weekends, and not go out to do much at all.

Generally, I don’t watch SF movies, because I criticize the science (or lack thereof) too much. Museums are nice once in a while, and I would like to do more medieval fairs. But, mostly, I just want to relax.
