A British air accident investigator has told Sky News he believes there were explosions on board a plane before it crashed eight years ago, killing Polish President Lech Kaczynski.

Important development in this 8-years old investigation.
Have always felt that this was not an accident. Far too many fishy things about it and far too many obvious cover up efforts.
Why would the Poles not do a thorough investigation of the death of their own President? I don’t see a motive here.
The Soviets took the entire Polish officer corps deep into the Russian wilderness and MASSACRED them, then blamed it for decades on the "evil Nazis".

TO the best of my memory:
This Polish flight carried a Polish Gov. delegation that would commemorate in Russia a Dedication to the memory of the 1939 Katyn Forest Massacre.
The massacre, carried out by the NKVD (predicessor to the KGB) under the orders of Stalin, secretly destroyed the entire Polish officer corps after a long train ride deep into Russia.
Poles are naturaly wary of Russia but this mysterious crash on the way to such a deep Polish/Russian sore spot really took Polish suspicion (and that of any person with a brain) to a whole new level.
The finding of this investigator will only deepen that suspicion, which is probably a good thing.
The movie “Katyn” was both good and disturbing.
Because Russian Federation would not let them examine the wreckage.
Once again, Poland is stuck in the middle.
Germans who want to subjugate Poland to Muslims and Russia who always wants to dominate Poland.

It also bears resemblance to the more recent MH17 crash in Ukraine in manner and circumstance...and evidence.

The analogy is appropriate... but I’ll just note for the record that the photo you used is literally Nazi propaganda.
The resemblance is scant, though. The Smolensk appears to be another mass-assassination of the Polish elite, the first being Katyn.
MH17 was shot down, most likely, by mistake, because the crew mistook the airliner for a Ukrainian military plane. Or — another theory — in order to blame the Ukrainians. In either case, the passengers that were murdered in MH17 were random victims from countries neutral to the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
