The White House does not have to approve the release of a currently classified memo assembled within the House of representatives which purports to display extensive abuse of FISA authority within the FBI, deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley told WMAL Wednesday morning.

“We don’t have to approve it. They have the right to de-classify the document,” Gidley told Daily Caller editorial director Vince Coglianese and WMAL host, citing “legal minds” consulted by the executive branch.

Because our side is supposed to be marginally less scummy than the Democrats..

and that is one great big supposed. The GOP have stalwart stand ups like McCain, McConnell and Ryan that we can hold up and say here are our scum bags

Yes, Mom...it was announced on Lou Dobbs tonight. But the DOJ has NO control over its release...that’s up to Congress.

Unfortunately, the DOJ issued a letter against the memo’s release. It was reported tonight on Lou.

“”What do we do now? Trump doesn’t want to share the blame for releasing the memo. So, how do we do it and not be unendingly blasted by the liberal media?”.

To which the American people say...

“RELEASE THE DAMN MEMO ALREADY!!!!” “

The public and WH have given the green light. By next week; it’s out.

The President signaled quite clearly that he will not object to release of the memo. The WH supports ‘full transparency’—there is the directive to the Intel Committee.

Now it’s all about the timing.

“Stephen Boyd, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs, wrote that “it would be extraordinarily reckless for the Committee to disclose such information publicly without giving the Department and the FBI the opportunity to review the memorandum and to advise the HPSCI [the House intelligence committee] of the risk of harm to national security and to ongoing investigations that could come from public release.”

So the next question is: Did Sessions give Boyd permission to release this statement, or is Boyd an obuma holdover trying to muck up the works?

Sessions needs to don his Big Boy pants and fire Boyd, or Trump needs to sh*tcan Sessions.

Yup. Orchestrated by the greatest showman of our time.

Trust that the President knows exactly how he wants this to happen.

I think the best idea I heard was let President Trump read it in its entirety at the SOTU address.

It could be like the Al Smith dinner all over again, only a lot more awkward with Capitol Police and/or Federal Marshals... even.

Sessions is doing exactly what Trump wants him to do .

Sanders said that the WH wants the memo released.

Sessions' DOJ doesn't want the memo released.

Boyd is a long time Sessions guy. Sessions brought Boyd with him from Alabama.

I expect you’re right, however, a good bit of the game here is perception. I would like to know if Sessions signed off on the statement from DoJ on the “reckless” nature of the possible release. It’s a strong statement. I’m about up to here with many assumptions we’re making based on “insider sources” that may not even exist. Oh, this one is playing this just right, have to wait for this and that to line up...super-secret winks and nods.

This isn’t a Tom Clancy novel. This is America. It’s OUR government. The powerful toy with us, they “smell” us in Walmart and they plot to remove the elected president through evil manipulation. ..they must be stopped.

Even IF electing this president was a mistake, it is up to US to remedy it in the next election (I don’t think it was a mistake).

Sorry to spout- it’s not at you dear FRiend;) I’m just fed up and so worried.

In reply to the DOJ “warning” letter, a rather stout comeback about the oversight duties over the agency. They in fact, because of what they have learned- do not TRUST the FBI or DOJ, because of the ongoing false Mueller investigation, and because of the obvious false actions of the RINO/GOPe “republican” actors still in the deep state preserving their status quo. This is in the Examiner piece:

“The intelligence panel’s majority party shot back, saying it would be irregular for agencies under investigation by lawmakers to gain access to their documents.

“Agencies that are under investigation by congressional committees don’t typically get access to the committees’ investigative documents about them, and it’s no surprise these agencies don’t want the abuses we’ve found to be made public,” said Jack Langer, a spokesman for Nunes.

Republican lawmakers have rallied around the four-page memo in recent days, having described it as “shocking” and “alarming.”

“I believe the consequence of its release will be major changes in people currently working at the FBI and the Department of Justice,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said last week.

Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee are preparing their own memo in response to Nunes’s memo, ranking member Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said Wednesday. -—end-—
