I noticed in Downtown Dallas there was a HUGE banner for Mizzou trying to recruit students from Texas to go there.

Depends on where you’re at. I’m in Southwest Missouri and it’s just about the friendliest place I’ve been. Even Springfield, which is the biggest town around here is still pretty dang friendly.
Now, KC and St. Louis, not so much but better than the NE USA.
