The author of the controversial memo that upended Google in August is suing the company, alleging that white, male conservatives are systematically discriminated against by Google.
James Damore was fired as an engineer after the manifesto, which questioned the benefits of diversity programs and suggested women may be biologically inferior engineers, was widely passed around the company. In a new lawsuit, he and another fired engineer claim that “employees who expressed views deviating from the majority view at Google on political subjects raised in the workplace and relevant to Google’s employment policies and its business, such as ‘diversity’ hiring policies, ‘bias sensitivity,’ or ‘social justice,’ were/are singled out, mistreated, and systematically punished and terminated from Google, in violation of their legal rights.”

Lots of white males, a fair amount of Asian males, and some Asian females are discriminated against in jobs and at Universities. All in the name of *diversity*.
Absolutely. I personally know one of the unnamed parties to this lawsuit. It is pretty bad there. They have meeting where managers are called out and booed if they have too many white males on their team. Makes it hard for white males to find a team to work on.
Ageism is a big problem as well.
There’s age discrimination and discrimination against white men all over this country. Toss in being a conservative and it’s a hat trick.

I personally worked for a much smaller company and am a woman. One of my coworkers was told by my boss that I was too senile to program. I had watched her destroyed many people, so I decided to fight back. I was close to retirement and very close to our CEO. She did not survive. It is everywhere. Those that can do, those that can't manage.
I just have to say good luck with that. He probably should have just filed it on the basis of white male discrimination. What liberals call “conservative” is usually just basic fairness.

This statement is reprehensible. It would be difficult to craft a more dishonest characterization of Damore's "manifesto." It goes beyond incompetence; it is clearly both dishonest and malicious.
Too many humans cannot be trusted with power. Misuse of it is far too commonplace. This is just another example.
I don’t know how this law directly applies to his case when we’re only talking about his general political opinion.

I alway found that policy to be problematic, It seemed almost the essence of hubris.
It is almost biblical. Eve bit from the apple when Satan told her:”..you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Now, google has chosen the evil path, because it is certain it knows good and evil, and conservatives and white men are evil in its culture and ideology.
No I worked in IT. We all know engineers don't like doing performance reviews, so they bring in failed IT people to do the management tasks. The next thing you know, they act as though they know more than the engineers actually doing the work.
