Alabama votes on Tuesday in a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, now the attorney general. The last polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. Strong support for Roy S. Moore, the Republican, is expected in rural, mostly white parts of the state and in its northern half. The Democrat, Doug Jones, aims to create a lead in the urban counties that include Birmingham and Montgomery, and across a band of largely black counties.
One critical battleground is a trio of smaller, whiter cities: Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. Mr. Moore won a hard race in 2012 by keeping things close there. Mr. Jones hopes to win the cities by a convincing margin.

How do u defend against 38 year old allegations?
The answer is u can’t.
Mo Brooks will find that out in 2020.
Fox News isn't totally bad. ;-)
The plaintiffs in the case claimed it would be harder to trace vote fraud if those records were destroyed. So was the ruling crooked or not? That’s the question I have.
Moore’s speech was less than 5 mins.
Maybe his campaign (and DT) knows something we don’t.
Good work by the way. Keep posting these tallies so we can analyze them tomorrow.
Have to be up at zero dark thirty and freeze my cajones off outside...north of Dallas.
Everyone poat as much data as we can so we can trend it and find out who is padding their numbers.
“When are Americans going to wake the eff up and see what has really taken over our governments????”
Even here, very few are ready to face that.
Gifford should be careful with her Christian talk on NBC in the mornings, or else shell be forced out.
Christian views are being forced out in todays America.
Wow, I didn't realize Kathie Lee Gifford is a conservative Christian! I don't watch much of NBC, nor any of the morning shows.
You are SO right that Christian views are being forced out in today's America. It's appalling. We need to fight back!
COUNTED SO FAR: 100% (2,220 of 2,220 precincts) ROY MOORE 650,436 48.4% DOUG JONES 671,151 49.9%
Please explain what that might mean???
If Congress does anything on the border now, it is certain to be bad...amnesty. Thats why I think Trump needs to keep everything out of Congress this year. A year of nothing out of Congress...because now he cant get anything through Congress without giving them full amnesty and open borders. The Cheap Labor Express and Democrat Voter Acquisition Plan won big tonight. Alabama is now an open borders, free immigration, amnesty state in the Senate...go figure.
He’s definitely going to lose in 2020
Yep. The next 11 months are going to really show me what Trump is really made of. If its not obvious to him yet that both parties hate him, it should be. He better start treating the GOPE like the dims...or worse. Its obvious they (the GOPE) will think theyve won now and will have a you should have listened to us attitude. If he doesnt start draining the swamp, starting with the crooks in his own party, Im done with all of it.
Missed it.
What did Moore say, in that 5 min speech?
Thanks.
Moore lost to Jones by 20,715 votes.
I’m shocked, since people here have been saying that’s a strong Dem county.
No. Birmingham went 70% for Jones. I was referring to the final tally for all of Alabama. Jones did not get over 50%.
He mentioned that all the votes weren’t counted and that his campaign was in touch with the SOS’s office. Also, mentioned a recount.
Bottom line, he did not concede in a speech that lasted less than 5 mins.
Me thinks this election will drag on for some time before it’s certified one way or the other.
Florida all over again?
Thank you both for posting actual numbers. I have been trying to follow you both.
I am glad Moore did not concede.
This has got to be investigated.
These numbers just don’t make sense right now.
Murdoch is a globalist.
Fox is bad.
Sorry.
