Very convenient that all the concert goers were stripped of their guns. The only reason Rich had his was he was part of the performers.
Really highlights the idiocy of “gun-free zones”. Evil people don’t care about the laws, they will do terrible things. Meanwhile, the Good Guys, the law-abiding citizens, have been turned into sitting ducks because they know they’re in a “gun free zone”.
I’m glad there are exceptions and that some people are armed when they need to be armed.

Even with a handgun, you are helpless at trying to shoot someone with a machine gun as far away as the shooter was. As for the shooter, he was guaranteed kills because with a full crowd of 40,000 people and a height advantage, hits were guarateed for him. Best bet is that now hotels need X-ray machines to check suitcases for guns.

Firing back on his position would have endangered people in the rooms adjacent to the shooter.
