Attorney General Jeff Sessions will be be making the Trump administration's announcement on Tuesday about the future of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
Sessions will make the announcement from the Department of Justice in Washington at 11 a.m. and will take no questions from reporters, the department said.
The program, also known as DACA, was instituted by the Obama administration in June 2012. The program currently allows nearly 800,000 illegal immigrants who entered the country as minors to remain by receiving a renewable two-year period of deferred deportation and a work permit.
Stephen Miller, President Trump's senior policy advisor, spearheads immigration policy in the White House, and was Sessions' communication director when Sessions was a senator. Miller was behind Sessions' campaign against the Gang of Eight's push for bipartisan immigration reform in 2013, which never made it to former President Barack Obama's desk.
It has been widely reported that Trump will end DACA after a six-month delay, and Sessions helped persuade Trump to take that step.
Sessions has made cracking down on illegal immigration a top priority since taking the help of the Justice Department.

Did it never occur to these people that if he had been deported (back to where he belongs) there would have been an AMERICAN EMS guy in his place?
I heard that story too. Every single one of these DACA Dreamers are the most wonderful people in the world. They all will be a tremendous asset to Mexico when they arrive back in their homeland.

I thought Sessions had recused himself from all Justice Department activity.
I disagree. I think the AG should make the statement first, because it will become more of a legal matter rather than a political one, which is why I’m sure the President chose this route.
DACA is illegal. It is unconstitutional. It's bigger brother DAPA was struck down by the courts and upheld by a divided SCOTUS.
I would like to see DACA done away with immediately, but I can understand Trump's angle and will still support him if he convinces Congress to fund the wall, end the anchor baby scam, no chain migration, limit legal immigration and get rid of Ted Kennedy's immigration act which opened the doors to 3rd-world savages.
I think only DOJ activity involving criminal acts. That leaves him available for coffee & doughnut morning roll call meetings and birthday luncheons.

Well, I guess I am. LOL
I’ve lived here for the last 58 Years. Ronald Reagan was my Governor way back when. We live in what is / was the last bastion of Conservatism on the Coast, South Orange County.
If I could talk my Wife into moving, we would be gone. That and Family obligations keep us here.
I didn’t leave CA, CA left me, so I adapt until the time comes when we can make a move.

Well, if it was just me, I’d probably be living in Vegas, but that’s another story.
I’m trying to talk the Wife into moving, but there doesn’t seem to be anywhere she likes (that we can afford). She is also CA Born and Raised, loves where we live and doesn’t worry about the Politics here like I do.
While I have no Family left here since losing my Father last year, my Wife does. She is adamant in not leaving Family behind.
I’m still working on it though...

And here I was led to believe Javanka would not allow this, them being co rulers and all.
