FRiends,
Please review the “Cast Aside Illusions” picture. Look at two items.
#1, In the background, there is a two wire powerline leading to a very small, old (rusting) transformer. Two wire/leg powerlines are rare. Vast majority are 3-leg systems. There is also something yellow and “soft” (no straight lines) behind the power line. Almost looks like some sort of fabric covering over something.
Too bad the photo looks like it was shot on a cloudy day, so shadows can’t tell us the direction in which the photo was taken.
With this information, and the small old rusting transformer, assuming this photo was shot somewhere in the Central Texas Hill Country, it shouldn’t take long to work with the power companies to identify the location of the shoot, and therefore the property owner.
These people did not just walk on to someone’s property without permission.
So now LEOs know who to “chat” with...
2, Secondly, I see what appear to be two federally illegal weapons.
a, The far right, in the camouflage baseball cap; That barrel appears to be less than 16 inches. It has a fixed stock. That would then be a short-barrelled rifle, for which I doubt he has a tax stamp.
It may be legal, but it’s worth a “conversation”...
b, The bald man in the back row; He appears to be holding a rifle-caliber “pistol”, to which he has illegally attached a vertical foregrip. (It looks to be 5.56 or 7.62/308 from the straight, non-curved magazine.)
Finally, the short fat kid on the far right. Once his friends ID him, he won’t be able to deny it is him due to the right and left arm tats.
So the JATF comes knocking on the property owner’s door....
Any doubt they wouldn’t find someone who rats out the rest of them in 30 seconds?
Further identified as Central Texas by the “Austin” t-shirt on the girl (?) kneeling on the far right.
Some smart LEO can also find out what kind of trees they are, and if they grow primarily alongside stream beds....
And who printed the snot rags on their faces? Hope they get them in a hurry!
Come to SW Nebraska sometime! I do contract work for the Southwest Public Power District, and we’ve got single phase lines all over the map. The top line is the ground conductor.
I think the “yellow” you see might be the light of sunrise or sunset, shining through the trees?
