BANNON OUT AT WHITE HOUSE
Trump’s poll numbers went up 4 points after Charlottesville. That’s surprising to me, but I think the base appreciated him calling out Antifa too. The liberals are celebrating, and this demoralizing for the base.
Folks, The Swamp is winning. Trump will sink. Partly because of his mouth and also because the Republican Congress critters are all a part of the swamp. The media, the networks and the national press hate Americans who believe in individual liberty, capitalism and traditional values.
I agree with you that Bannon’s counsel was essential to accomplishing Trump’s dreamed agenda and that his thought-to-be-off-the-record chat with a reporter (uh huh sound familiar - Scaramucci?) was overly bold and self laudatory.
The comment about Korea and our hands being tied was a breach of classified war plans. He also talked about the people he was going to clean out and I believe he even mentioned names!
I strongly suspect that he knew that he was done and he was only taking a victory lap, laying down his raison de etre for being in the White House, and giving his friend Trump a bunch of valid reasons to can him (to tamp down the Trumpsters’ anger).
Reminds me of the last scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid movie.

You keep repeating the falsehood that her access is limited to her "own work product". Rice's work product are documents created by Rice. As it has been pointed out to you, she has had, and apparently will continue to have access to more than that, as listed in the memo.
But put that correction aside, because it is beside the point and I'm sure it will take your attention away from the point..
Repeating the same thing over and over again doesn't make her access expand in my mind.
I'm NOT saying that she will have access to more documents than she did before. I'm saying that she will have access to the same documents from this point forward without a need to know.
There is a reason why people with a security clearance lose access to classified documents once they no longer have a "Need to Know". There's a reason why they must prove a Need to Know and get permission, to get access back.
Having a Need to Know is a fundamental principle, when handling classified. McMaster has waived THAT requirement for Susan Rice.

It’s a total win for the left/media. They are celebrating this as a scalp. Now I don’t think Charlottesville had anything to do with Bannon leaving. There have been reports he was on the rocks for weeks. BUT it looks like that’s why Bannon was fired. Trump’s poll numbers went up 4 points after Charlottesville because he was willing to call out Antifa violence too. Now it looks like a sign of weakness, and the left will still hate him. The base will be demoralized to some extent - not all but certainly those that saw Bannon as a seat at the table.
Interesting post. I’ve been a Bannon fan for a long time, then a Trump booster from the first day he stepped onstage at a debate, I saw them as a team. Man of action plus man of deep political knowledge. I like the combination.
If all you say about Bannon is true, I feel slightly better about his leaving. Slightly.

And? This is still her work product, and is thus not the unlimited security clearance imagined by Breitbart or Circa. You are not contradicting me though you seem to be imagining something grander in this language than actually exists in reality.

I am not sure why you have this obsession with the phrase "Need to Know." There is literally no evidence that this is in any way improper. All it means is that she doesn't have to gain specific approval to her own work product when called up by congress. No one is going to be approving that stuff on a case by case basis just because it makes you happy. In either case, she has no access to what's going on in the White House, and only to what she herself already has her name on, whether she created it herself, or assessed, handled, and took responsibility for in some fashion.
There is no grand McMasters conspiracy here. This is just one lie of many told about McMasters, who is no saint mind you, but is not the devil Bannon wanted us to believe.

Unfortunately, most people are unaware of these facts about Bannon since they only really started paying attention to Breitbart after the nomination process was over.
I was aware the whole time and have followed Bannon for quite some time.
I liked Andrew Breitbart, but Bannon is no Breitbart and has instead operated like someone who uses Conservatism as a means to promote their own fame or special interests (so basically just like the majority of “conservatives,” from Glenn Beck, Ted Cruz, all the way down to National Review and Ben Shapiro). Ethics and even basic reporting of facts takes a step back from these ego trips or special interests, though we are fortunate that whenever a “conservative” goes on an ego trip, it’s usually—USUALLY—a positive thing for us, at least in the case of Breitbart.
But eventually the interests of the Conservative Pundit’s Ego and the interests of the Country at large diverges, and things like this happen.

The pearl clutchers, teeth gnashers, and head bangers at Breitbart, who worship at the altar of Steve Bannon are blasting President Trump over this.
I’m as much of an anti-globalist, anti-RINO, anti-liberal, conservative as they are, BUT the man was becoming too much of an unnecessary distraction, especially with his shooting off his mouth recently about the U.S. not being able to handle North Korea (a reckless and stupid statement). And thankfully, he had the good sense and decency to step aside for the sake of the President’s agenda.
I didn’t vote for Steve Bannon, I voted for Donald Trump. In fact, I didn’t even know who Steve Bannon was until Trump hired him.
President Trump doesn’t need Bannon in the White House to carry out the conservative agenda. His world viewpoints were well-established long before Bannon came along.
I have no doubt that Trump and Bannon are good friends and that Trump will still seek his counsel behind the scenes, but my God, let the Steve Bannon Show be over.
