Imran Awan, a former IT aide for Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, was indicted Thursday on four counts including bank fraud and making false statements.
The indictment also includes his wife Hina Alvi.
The grand jury decision in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia comes roughly a month after Awan was arrested at Dulles airport in Virginia trying to board a plane to Pakistan, where his family is from.
Awan and other IT aides for House Democrats have been on investigators’ radar for months over concerns of possible double-billing, alleged equipment theft, and access to sensitive computer systems. Most lawmakers fired Awan in February, but Schultz had kept him on until his arrest in July.

No, he got everything he wanted and then some...he even had the Federal Money give him how much for Iran that was flown under the darkness of night on one of our Military transport planes...so the military people were being threatened also...
And now it's all going to come out...into the sunlight for the whole world to see...

Will he still be in the country long enough to actually face trial and jail time??? I know he’s supposedly on an ankle monitor but I hardly trust the gubmint to keep track of him and keep him in the country for trial. How fast can he leave the country when he cuts his ankle monitor, and how fast can/will authorities respond to prevent him from escaping???

All we want to know is how much of our hard earned tax paying dollars were spent? I know a lot of folks on this forum r so P.O.ed on our waste of taxpayer funds that r used like in this instance. We need to prosecute to the fullest extent & jail these folks as long as possible.

(HAT TIP IAMACONSERVATIVE): Imran had control of ALL of the
Dems' Blackberrys. If the Dems were using a Blackberry Enterprise Server
(BES), and I'm betting they did, then Awan could easily have ITed all the
SMS and Email content sent through their Blackberry's for however long he
had that access. Definitely makes Awans' blackmailing elected members a
possibility.
Is Debbie sweating bullets?
Can you imagine the scene, if all thirty of these rascals were called to the stand and asked about the policy and procedure for vetting their employee.
