If the obnoxious reporter aggressively shoved the mike into the candidate's face, that could well have constituted an assault. If it actually struck the candidate, that would be a "battery."

The Leftwing reporter might have a very good personal reason for not producing any video.

There is an incident in a novel, I wrote, which describes a similar media thug getting what he truly deserved, for viewing on the evening news. Reporters did not use to be "laws onto themselves."

I was listening to some LA radio reporter this morning who said:

“you can’t attack a reporter who is disagreeing with you”

Apparently news reporting has become so degraded that this dimwit doesn’t consider that “disagreeing’ with someone you are interviewing isn’t reporting, it means that you are debating. Apparently Jacobs, like Stephanopoulos, is a Democrat party activist now spinning the news. Fewer and fewer are fooled anymore.
