Trump was right AGAIN!

It has been my privilege to work with many people of extremely high intelligence, including some when they were children. I saw this phenomenon oftenpeople of very high intelligence say something that seems readily apparent to them (who can make a very rapid mental conclusion from a vastly larger set of data points than the average person), and the average folks around them go crazy, denounce them, call them all kinds of names and try to banish or destroy them.
Whether it's the nerd kids in the science club or debate team or the PhDs in research labs, the tensions between the genius people and the middle managers holding the reins of organizational power are often a saga of wasted opportunity so that the mediocre could feel better about themselves.
Catherine Drinker Bowen's 1974 biography of Benjamin Franklin, The Most Dangerous Man in America, described this phenomenon, how Franklin's multi-faceted practical genius (rarely equalled even today) was loathed by popinjays eager to defeat his seemingly simple but stunningly accurate wisdom in complex situations.
But as our wise Founders James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, George Washington and others observed, intellect ungrounded by morality is a great danger. It's been wonderful to see the Christian community coming around Trump to support, encourage and teach him.
